I noticed that when I equipped the "stick" my "Fishing Buddy" mod kicked in. I didn't think to try it at the time but it would be interesting to see if you could cast and/or catch a fish, or even apply a lure, while this was equipped. The model and stats are the same as the standard fishing pole and If the mod thinks it's a fishing pole then maybe it would work?

If anyone hasn't done the quest yet I'd appreciate a follow up. If not maybe on my next time through with my other guys I'll test it out myself.

This is obviously a reference to the movie National Treasure.
During the movie the lead Ben Gates (Played by Nicolas Cage) caries around a small container , containing the Deceleration of independence, this container was made of plastic - and plastic comes from oil , and oil is long gone dead plants like for example this stick , hence this must be a reference to this movie!

I'll have to sadden you people with the terrible fact our beloved Stick cannot be used to catch a fish. It is however still a very usable tool to throw around carrots and catch the mustangs for meat! (Or other purposes...)
