A good place i found was in Sholazar Basin to the far left along the coast. There are quite alot of elementals up their such as Water Elementals, Earth Elementals and Air Elementals. The fire Elementals are either at Borean or at Storm Peaks. Anyways the drop rate on the airs is not too bad at Sholazar Basin.

The "Created by" tab shows that it requires 9 Crystallized Air to create an Eternal Air, however the way Blizzards spell works is a little misleading.

You "Use" one of the Crystallized Air's which casts a spell that requires another 9 to create an Eternal. It requires 10 in total.

Formany farmers it might be messy to compromise all your "crystalized ***" to not soak up the bag space.
I thoguht this could be easy solved. Here is a very simple but useful macro for compromising you crystals to eternals:

One tip for engineers if u need Eternal Air dont bother to look for clouds in Storm Peaks that drop em just farm clouds in Sholazin Basin then sell Eternal Fire on AH and buy Eternal Air that is much easyer, and u can maybe profit like i did cos Air cost less then Fire on my server.

For the map of clouds in SB check comments about Eternal Fire on wowhead.
100% correct map!

edit: didnt make this post to teach how u should make gold wanted to save u time in farming air when this is much faster (and yes Storm Peaks is the best place to look for Arctic Clouds)

I seem to have problems with the Storm peaks thing.
Personally i prefer the steam clouds in Shozalar Basin,
They just seem to have a perfect drop rate, fast respawn and nearly noone is farming them on my servers, could ofc be different, but who knows ? ^^

In 3.3.3, a Gnome named "Frozo the Renowned" Will come to dalaran on his flying carpet, Camping himself at Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange, selling Eternal airs along with the other eternals for a Frozen orb each.

A tip for Miners: I went in The Storm Peaks looking for Arctic Clouds with a Zapthrottle Mote Extractor. I decided to mine ore just because i could.
I found 4 Crystallized Air (and 6 Crystallized Earth) in a Titanium Vein. They seem to drop at a 50% rate.

I found the easiest way to farm these is to get honors convert them to justice (or get justice points) buy the orbs and buy eternal

Tips for Northrend elemental farming:

If your faction controls Wintergrasp, the elementals located in Wintergrasp have high drop rates for elementals. Revenants have a 100% chance to drop elementals with the lesser ones having about a 25% drop chance.
Frozen Orbs can be traded for any eternal (as well as for some other goods) in Dalaran from Frozo the Renowned.
Frozen Orbs can be obtained from heroic WoTLK instances (1 per completed dungeon), bought from the Auction House, or purchased with cataclysm currency Justice Points (110 per orb).
If your character has Mining as a profession, make sure to mine the elemental corpses for extra loot.
Justice Points are easiliy obtainable from running regular dungeons or by converting Honor Points.

My favorite method for farming these is using the frozen orb method. I run regular dungeons and then buy Frozen Orbs with the Justice Points.
