Compared to https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=29172 which is a great asset to get hit capped this ring offers 7 more spellhit, 19 int and 12 bonus dmg for the loss of 3 stamina. Truly a great upgrade.

Spirit is also a useful stat for moonkin druids, if engaged in endgame pve content they will surely be speced for Intensity to get 30% of their Spirit-based mana regen in combat.

It also becomes a valuable stat in raids due to priests' improved spirit buff, a caster who stacks spirit will end up with higher spell damage than someone who ignores it.

Possibly the nicest new badge item across the board for any caster, I'd call it a must-have as it allows more plentiful options for gearing across the board.

This ring is horribly, horribly itemized. Why so much hit rating? It's glomping up the item budget so badly that the ring gives no real damage upgrade for most classes that are easily hit-capped (like spriests) over the one off Headless Horseman.

Maybe if it had half the hit rating and some haste it'd be a great ring, but as it is now unless you're trying to go destrolock in T5 content this ring is a total and utter waste.

(Keep in mind this is an ilevel 141 item. You shouldn't even be able to closely compare it to a rep reward, nor a reward from a T4 boss)

For damage and hit alone this roing is well worth it and with in the stam and int, it is a must have for most caster dps classes.

I'll agree wholeheartedly with all my fellow Affliction Locks here. Personally, I want to load as much spell hit as possible (and a bit of crit for good measure) on a few interchangeable pieces like neck, rings, off-hand, and trinkets. That way, I can keep the rest of my gear mainly focussed on spell damage which works for pvp, farming, etc, and then swap in the spell hit gear when I go raiding. For that reason, this ring is perfect.

When I first saw this, I figured that I wouldn't need it. With only 38 spell hit rating to reach the cap as a Draenei Shaman, this ring with tons of hit rating was not created for me.
But now I've changed my mind. Sure, the ring might not be the most obvious Elemental item, especially not if you have Tier items with hit rating. However, the three new badge items are quite good, considered better than T5 and about as good as T6 as far as I'm concerned. And no one of them has spell hit on them. If you have the Sha'tar head enchant which gives 14 spell hit, this ring is all you need to be hitcapped. Which means that you can stack others stats - like haste - on all your other items and sockets. So I think I'm gonna get this item when I have the badges for it.

1st off, lets not hate on the shadow priests here. Every class looks at and has an opinion about the items they see, just as everyone else here did. He was itemizing it to his class, as the rest of you did. Second, shadow priests NEED a %^&* ton of hit. True we get 10% hit and only need 76 hit rating, but telll me this, whats harder to come by, more hit rating or talent points? Talent points are at a set amount, u can get unlimited hit rating. I myelf and every other t6 raiding shadow priest on my server over hit caps so they can take points out of hit talent and get much more benefitial skills. We would NEVER gem for hit, but since crit is completely useless and you will only get haste on half your gear, the other half is solid spell damage and hit. This ring is awsome, but agreed i would love to see some haste on this rings, and rings are one of the items i try and itemize for hit, but overall a very very good ring.

This is indeed a great ring for moonkins. If I have this I can finally get rid of my Veiled Noble Topaz! More haste & Spelldmg it is!
We need approx 151 spellhit, so this is a really nice ring!
