For the few of us who do not know who Mannoroth was,

Mannoroth the Destructor was a Pit Lord lieutenant in the Burning Legion and the original architect, along with Kil'Jaeden, of the Orcs corruption on Draenor. By Kil'Jaeden's command Mannoroth, with great reluctance, offered his blood to the orcs. The orc chieftains of Draenor drunk heavily of this blood and it drove them into a blood lusting horde bent on chaos and death. It was then the Orcs wiped out what remained of the Draenei.

Mannoroth would later appear on Kalimdor after the redemption of the orcs. Secretly he bled into a nearby fountain of life corrupting it. Grom Hellscream's forces discovered the defiled well and sensed the power emanating from it. Despite his advisers warnings Grom and his clan drank from the fountain corrupting them once again. In a new bloodrage, the Warsong Clan faught and slaughtered the demi-god Cenarius.

Mannoroth would later fall to the axe Gorehowl and the mace Doomhammer when Grom and his friend Thrall were lured into a trap. Mannoroth easily threw aside Thrall but Grom's vicious attacks cleaved his two-bladed sword in twain and slayed the mighty pit lord, freeing the orcish race.

Mannoroth's armor and bones are strung up to a large twisted tree in Orgrimmar to serve as a memorial.

that is....most powerful OH for rogues in game. 405 MAEP puts it at the same level of the offhand warglaive (but TwinBlades set remains much more than all other weaps for its insane set bonus.)

Blade of Savagery remains the highest (non-legendary) dps offhand for combat sword rogues, do to the .1 faster speed.

What you people fail to factor in is the passive haste, which brings the speed of this closer to the BoS, so yeah, regardless, higher dps is higher

haste brings the speed down to 1.4715 so the haste is hardly a dps boost, but if you add more haste from a couple more items (Duplicitous Guise, Carapase of Sun Shadow) you're down to a 1.4019 attack speed, pretty much bringing it better then the BoS, considering Warglaive has a lower average damage, this could possibly be better then the warglaive with the 2 haste items above. (of course, assuming you aren't sword spec :P)

Since most rogues raiding Sunwell are combat swords, this weapon will most likely be used when they spec shadowstep for arena / battlegrounds.

It's extremely regrettable that Blizzard did not swap the speed or graphic of this weapon with Mounting Vengeance. Sadly, the beauty of the Hand of the Deceiver and Grip of Mannoroth combo will never truly be realized due to fists being inferior for rogues and fast offhands being inferior for fury warriors and enhancement shaman.

Such a shame.

Mannoroth was also serving as a helper for Sargeras (idk how u spell it), he was one of the people in charge of taking Kalimdore over before Sargeras came to destroy it all. (that took place when Zin-Aszhara was up and the Well of Eternity.)I read it the Richard A. Knaak book:War of the Ancients Archive (good book)

Nice that there is a fast off hand fist fpr rogues all the other ones that have been added up to now have been slow e.g. the token one and the random drop in Sunwell plat

Believe me, odds are that by the time you have downed Brutallus almost any rogue will have both the blade of infamy and the blade of savagery which beat out using this fist. It's only viability in my eyes is if you somehow haven't gotten the blade of savagery yet.. Very unlikely...

In overall agreement with above poster (regarding acquisition and use of other swords for rogues) I'm a bit unsure where this weapons stands.

As a rogue, I feel like I have to say this might suit a hunter better than most other classes.

It's fast for an Off-hand, making it less desirable for shaman and fury warriors, and rogues would find better DPS with swords.

I'm not saying that fists aren't viable, but that they are unlikely to be the best option for a rogue at that level of play.

That all said, maybe a hunter OH weapon? Not sure.

this will probably get sharded in a raid...
Fury warriors probably won't want it because its a little too fast to pair with another fist weapon (all main hand fist weapons are slow) so you'd need to put it with something else and its too quick far shammies. This means its a rogue / &*!@#$% item who could quite easily have better

Lol it would be sharded? Check out Vanir's Left Fist of Savagery. Its pretty much this weapon with 5 less dps and less stats. That being said this is an AMAZING offhand for a rogue. Fist speced rogues actually do better dps on bosses compared to sword speced (swords are better on trash and in heroics). Pair this with the Mainhand that drops off of Kil'Jeaden and u get the second best weapon pairing in the game for Rogues (the first obviously being the warglaives). Whoever said this would be sharded deserves to be slapped >.>

Hm, pretty sure Mannoroth had a spear with a blade at both ends, but whatever.
