While this herb is easy to obtain, it helps immensely in the trip to 300 herbalism. while it helps, it will not, like other herbs, sell well on the auction house.

Anyone who's done Cyclonian: My parchment (Bath'rah's Parchment, page 2) says this can be gained in Dustwallow from Withervine beasts. However, according to the drop listings, NOTHING in Dustwallow drops Liferoot. Any explanation, or just...odd?

Liferoot (Herb)

Very fond of water. Usually found near streams or pools.
Has natural healing properties. Often used as an ingredient for healing potions.
The meat of the root has a very spongy texture.
Its surprising sweet taste produces very appealing potions and allows it to be used as a light sweetener in cooking.

Stranglethorn Vale is the best place I have found Liferoot.

It is always found near the water so doing runs from the top of the main river all the way down to the end of the shore near Booty Bay and back had the best results.

Another good place I have found that is not farmed often (if at all) is the pond near the south of the Arathi Highlands, near the Witherbark Village. Run round the pond once, collect 4-5 liferoots and chances are the first one spawned back already :D!

a great and simple place to farm a stack of this and gold thorn is Scarlet Monastery: Cathedral, there are always 3 bushes of a mix of Goldthorn and Liferoot. Just walk in loot walk out reset, the instance limit caps how much you can get but it is excellent for a quick stack or two of each.

I made 4 rounds of Darrowmere Lake in Western Plaguelands and farmed about 170 liferoot. No mobs and when you've made one round, the herbs at the start have respawned again.

EDIT: turns green at 200.

There is a bunch of Liferoot's around the Darrowmere lake aswell, and i rarely see anyone around that lake farming them so there is bound to be one with in 10-80 yards away from another. Just follow the rim of the lake, don't follow the rivers.

Wowhead comments win, darrowmere was awesome for liferoot, and a good amount of stranglekelp in the lake itself too.

Another good place to farm these is the river that goes down the middle of Northern Stranglethorn. The riverside is filled with Liferoot, from top to bottom.

Agreed, Northern Stranglethorn is fantastic for this along with the rare Wild Steelbloom.

Darrowmere Lake is simply the best place for this herb. If you have epic flying, it literally took me about 5 minutes to find 20 of them. Just fly around the outside of the lake. Also, if you're leveling alchemy all you have to do is dive into the lake for Stranglekelp.

I have found that the absolute best place to find Liferoot is around Darrowmere Lake in Eastern Plaguelands. I collected approximately 60 liferoot in 20 minutes just flying around that lake.

its always best to have a high level character sending you liferoot. my dad plays on the same server and is a lvl 60 priest 300/300 alch/herb so he sends me pots and will send me any herbs he either has no use for or i need for a quest. :D if you are on Arthas server and need some liferoot, ask him. tell him Arterdras sent you. He might oblige or just ignore you. 50/50 chance :D

I've gotten over a stack just by gathering in the Wetlands during a quest. The Wetlands are definitely the best place for liferoot gathering.
