According to reports, these are random drops off ANY of the mobs in the flight only areas of Blades Edge Mountains. When Combined with 50 Apexis Shards (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32569) it will turn into a Badge of Tenacity (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32658), pretty much the best druid tanking trinket so far introduced.

The drop rate for the Depleted Badge is REALLY low, but I have heard (unconfirmed) that it is higher on the 35 crystal summoned mobs (dragons, demons, guardians).

the drop rate on these items sucks... ive spent well over 100 hours trying to get a depleted badge and ive yet to see a single depleted item drop other the the crystal focuses.

Understanding the drops on the plateau.

The trash, such as Bash'ir, boars, rays, flayers, and ordinary demons have a full drop table typical of normal world mobs. It consists of a large chance to drop nothing, a small chance to drop greens, a much smaller chance to drop blues, and an impossibly small chance to drop purples.

The next teir of mobs are the mobs summoned by 35-apexis crystals. The dragons and the demons summoned at large green crystals in the forge camps are the best source of these. For these mobs, the drop table is the same, except the chance to drop nothing is truncated. So you're left with a guarantee to get a green, unless you get the small chance to get a blue or smaller chance to get a purple.

The highest teir is shartuul himself from the transporter event. His drop table truncates the chance to drop nothing and the chance to drop greens. He also has a couple of extra BoP purple rings on his drop table.

Now, one thing I'm not sure about because the data isn't on wowhead, has anyone seen any of the drops from some of the Bash'ir summoned mobs? For example the mark of the nexus king quests, and the one from the transponder. These guys usually have some type of blue drop with "of the falcon" or similar. Not sure about their chance to drop depleted items.

After going feral on my druid I decided to see if I could grind a few days after this. My mate told me she had grinded for it for 2 months and it didnt drop (about 2 hours a day), and it dropped for me after 2 days of 6 hours grinding a day.

When I first got it, I had a hard time deciding wheter to sell it or use it.
I used it, and I dont regret at all. Its a godly tanking trinket, the 10% Dodge and Crit when you use it owns, even for grinding.

Elites in Blade’s Edge Plateau Regions: These creatures now have an increased chance to drop rare depleted items.

Any idea what the new numbers are?

Really wanted this for my druid so i grinded a few hours in BeM.. ofc i got tired of this and me and a priest m8 started killing the dragons u summon with apexis shards, when we got to the fourth dragon it dropped! Sweet :D and i got a nice cloak to put on AH as a bonus.

i have been grinding off and on ever few hours for a week on the non elite mobs in BEM for this, i know the elite mobs have a better drop chance but i would have better luck asking random people for gold then getting a few people for this. can anyone offer any better ideas on the grind for this? like what non elite mob has droped this that you have seen.

Did they lower the drop rate of this on Shartuul? I've done him about 15 times and haven't seen the badge even once. It's the only reason I started killing him in the first place. I'll keep killing him for the money (it's really nice).

I have been grinding Skyguard rep on my shaman so I've been out in Blade's Edge for the past week. I've killed the elite dragon Rivendark twice and both times he has dropped a depleted badge. The item it makes (Distintivo della Tenacia) is pretty decent for a lvl 70 tank since trinkets for tanks are hard to come by at that level. The first sold for 250g on my server - I plan on listing this one for the same.

Of course, druid tanks would love the thing, but they're not the only ones. For a hunter, 150 Agi for 20 seconds is a lot better than 278 AP for 20 seconds, from the Bloodlust Brooch. Rogues would like that too.

If only it had a better drop rate than .01%. I'm still going to farm for it.

I grinded for this for 4 days.. about 1600 apexis crystals. It`n not as easy to get as you might think. Apparently it has a small chance to drop from the same mobs as the cystals. Near Ogri`la.

So let's compile a drop list so people waste less time farming this thing.

So far people have claimed drops off of Apexis Flayers, Abyssal Flamebringers, Wrath Hounds, and someone said they got one off a "Spell-thief", though I'm not sure whether or not they were talking about the Razaani ones, or if they weren't, which spell-thieves, or if they were possibly just BSing. Can anyone confirm a drop off of the Aether Rays or Shard-hide boars? Or Vile Fire-souls? Fear Fiends?

Anything that can drop an Apexis crystal can drop the badge- or any of the other Depleted items. So basically everything in the Crystal Shelf area and by Ogri'La. Demons, flayers, etc...

The mobs it takes 35 crystals to summon seem to have a higher drop rate. They always drop 1 blue item.

i've been farming this peice of crap for 6k gold worth of trash loot. havent seen one depleted item yet. i'd pay 2k for the darn thing at this point. this is like trying to get thunderfury or something. i'm pretty sure it's an epic like drop rate b/c i never see anyone with one equiped.

I've been farming this item for quite a while, at first i was just walking up and down the ogrilla area killing everything in sight, but now I've started a circling route between a couple different crystal outcroppings and focusing on the Apexis Flayers. I've spent maybe around 30-36 hours of pure farming, and no depleted has dropped for me so far, I assume I'm just very unlucky, and I hope I get it dropped soon.

After 1 and a half month of intense farming i finally find at ah for a measly 1500g

so im like, ok ill just use some of the 7k gold i earned up in BEM and buy it then. Didnt even look at the price, just pressed buy. Turned out to be quite low.

Take heart fellow druids, after killing 32 million apexis flayers its probably gonna drop.

Ok Insane bear trinket but its doing my head in grinding for it ive made over 5k gold and spent around 52 hours of gameplay trying to get it what is it with blizzard hating druids ok so its 1500g on the ah (Rip off)when all the other blues and even the Epics are way cheaper cmon blizzard L 2 Love Druids

After reading some of these posts I was prepared for the long grind. Started on the demons but changed to the flayers. 10 hours total farming.. 3 hours on the flayers and it dropped. Made a few hundred gold also.

This is VERY RARE from the normal mobs.
I killed Shartuul by summoning him with Crystalforged darkrune. He has 10% drop of dropping blue items and this dropped.

does this even drop ive been farming this item or any depleted or blues or epic or paterns for around 1 week straight ive been really dedicated me playing the day my bro playing the night. But we havent found anything at all. We have been farming around the city is there a better place?

Farming for this item is stupid. Just do the "Banish More Demons" each day, gather a lot of consumable crystal-power-charged-focus-things and farm Shartuul. He will drop other items sometimes. I have killed him 3-4 times and haven't seen this yet, but the other items sold nicely on AH ;)

Sooooo.... I've been watching the AH for Depleted Badge and Badge of Tenacity every day for the past couple of weeks and contemplating spending 1,000g or more for one of them or farming it, but today when I logged in I found Depleted Badge on the AH for 45g. Yes, 45g. That was the quickest buyout I ever made. So my recommendation is to just be patient, because eventually you will be able to benefit from someone's stupidity :)

i got this while farming Mote of fire after first few kills and didnt know what it was. I asked a few people most didnt know but some wanted to buy it from me at 5-10g glad i looked here first

Been Farming this badge for over 2 weeks now, 1138 kills, I have had Almost every depleted thing except for depleted ring, i did the ogrila quests to get the Demonic rune and attempted to do the Demon posessing Event 7 times succesful the first time and was unsucessful the other 6, i got a depleted staff out of it.

Farming this is not an easy task so make sure you have alot of patience at farming it or Trolling the AH for it....
On a side note if anyone is selling this on the EU-sporeggar realm /w me or mail me On my alt or main Golgorad/Lightsend

I just got mine from a Shard-hide Boar. It's not on the list of mobs that drop it though...

I was just doing my daily cooking quest and I thought "I'll come back later to farm those boars for my leatherworking" and this dropped off one just by chance.

Had to read for ages to figure out what the hell it was :P

As a hunter, I feel this has made up for all the #$%^ I have copped along the way and all the good things I have missed out on :)

The Depleted Badge when infused with 50 crystals becomes a "Badge of Tenacity" which is one of the best feral druid trinkets.

My question: Does the badge become Soulbound upon infusion?

I saw these posts and i started farming for the depleted badge. After 30 minutes, no badge, but i got the Depleted Cloth Bracers, still going there every once in a while to farm for like an hour and see if it drops. BTW, the bracers dropped off a flayer.

omg, after hours of grinding i gathered about 300+ shard, this dropped off a shard-skin boar, outside of ogri'la shortly after i found a depleted dagger off a boar as well.
i got so excited i screamed on /1

Got one of these from an apexis flayer , after farming for 3-4 nights. Aproximately 1500+ mobs (no elites), mostly Apexis Flayers but also a couple of hundreds of abysal flamebringer and bash'ir mummies. Probabilities are around 0.05%+ , the easiest mob to farm this as a feral druid are the apexis flayers.

Gives around 1690 armor in bear form, and the active of the 150 agi gives aprox 12%+ dodge and 6%+ crit chance, and a little bonus of like 300+ armor. The 150 agility also escalates with survival of the fittest, so its technically 154.
