This gem for hunters is awsome, best gem for Nightbane boots wich require a blue gem to give set bonus (+4ap).

I know this might sound stupid, if this gem had Str, it would sound less dumb...

What if I (feral druid) socket one or two of these onto my gear? Gives a small amount of AP, but allows some mana regen while im soloing to reduce downtime on drinking/eating etc.

Also considering for PvP, regenning even the small amount of mana is good... right? =/

Anyone know if these gems are good for Retribution paladins geming for blue sockets for Meta requirements/DPS socket bonuses? (e.g. red/blue socket, +4str bonus .. add a +8str gem, +8ap +2mp5 = +12str =8ap+mp5 (basically 20AP) instead of 2x +8str = 16str and no bonus).

They're a contender with +4str +6sta but as a Paladin, keeping mana up is quite important and with decent gear stamina shouldn't be a problem.

Str scales with kings, assuming you have that blessing 4str will be 4.4 meaning 8.8 ap
however the stamina on the str/stamina or agi/stamina does little to increase your dps and palladins and hunters in general have already more hp than average non tank raid members

so this gem works for retribution palladins and hunters, no one else should use it.

while it looks descent for a enhancement shaman, a shaman playing his class descently wil find that he has more problems getting rid of his mana then keeping his bar filled

This gem is great for hunters if you need two blue gems for your Relentless Earthstorm Diamond

yes, it's the first blue gem which makes sense to put in a blue socket as a hunter. i love the new one with +4 crit and +8ap as well ;)

Bought this design for 250g a little after BT came out. Figured it probably wasn't that great of an investment, but I had the gold and I want all the designs eventually. Haven't cut any yet, nor have I auctioned one, but noticed someone else put the gem up for 70g on the AH. Probably a waste of deposit if I try cause there are many other Nightseye designs that seem like they would sell better (i.e. Glowing, Shifting, Royal, and now Balanced). If you want this and are on Drak'thul, look me up cause you probably won't see me post this on the AH.

It could be handy as a ret paladin, mana's an issue for that build, but I'd prefer +crit and Stamina from a Talasite. Maybe if I needed red/blue for a meta...

this is a perfect hunter gem. No Stamina wasting space. It exceeds Balanced Nightseye most definitely in my book.

Wish there were some blue gem that gave crit rate and MP5 instead of stam or other things. But this is the best option i guess
