But he's right. It /is/ perfect for a hunter. Just because Allakhazam and Thottbot got spammed with "Huntar wEapon !!!111eleven" doesn't mean that anyone saying that something which is pretty clearly a hunter item should be modded down for saying so. Well, unless you want to avoid saying that "x item is good for y class." In which case you'd be out of line with your "or an enhancement shaman" comment.

Basically, I think its fine to say something is good for a class as long its not redundent, not clearly spam, and the item is actually good for that class. Balins' post satisfies all three.

Quite the nice ring for a Hunter and DPS Shaman/Paladin. I would love to get this, but seeing as its a world drop BoE... I probably would never get this unless it dropped for me. BoEs like this sell for prices this poor foolish Hunter Engineer can't afford... T_T

Oh well. There's very few rings that can compare like this for Hunter/Shaman/Paladin.

However, here's a small list of alternatives that I've foundthat really work for any DPSers, since AFAIK, this is truely a one-of-a-kind ring ATM. Note I also put the stats gained/lost when compared to this ring. (Minus the +MP5 since none of these have it)

Quite surprising that this ring is actually epic, as the stats on it are quite crappy to say the least. As said before there are equal / superior quality blue rings available from bosses and quests. To top this off, it seems only to be desired as it's a purple item and as such I sold one today for 900g to some stupid hunter.

Omg, and I mean OMG!
7mp5 makes this ring really usefull. But.. on this ring you don't see +hit.. Ring may be epic, but finds use for those only, who got higher than Karazhan, or didn't get in it yet. +hit is what hunters need in first and only after that - crit, ap and mp5.. If you have Violet Signet of the Master Assassin and Garona's Signet Ring, you should be happy with them. What I want to say is - if you have +hit somewhere 120+ this ring is very nice for you, if no - find your way to Karazhan to get both rings I named before.

For those having a bash at this ring, it's the MP5 that makes it a very nice ring.

If you're going for short-term burst damage, this won't overwhelm you. If you're a bit more responsible in your raid capabilities, MP5 for a Hunter has a place for sustained fights (the last bit of mana to throw down an unexpected trap, the last arcane shot to down a boss, the last gasp Bestial Wrath etc.)

People suggesting https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=28553 as a better ring than this just don't understand the dynamics of being a PvE Hunter - Stamina and Resilience are next to pointless, and it also has zero Agi and less AP... I'd take Truestrike anytime.

If I saw this for 400g ish in an Auction House, i'd take it - it's 2 days dailies at the end of the day for a ring that would make a Hunter more likely to be viable for Karazhan (and BoE epics, on the whole, are intended to help you make a contribution in Karazhan immediately - see Bracers of the Green Fortress and such for Warrior Tanks.)

good for hunters, but not 500g good for hunters. wiser to spend $$ on black belt of the eagle or netherscale breastplate or a BOE gun (+4 ap and +4agi at most for dual rings and an extra 10 DPS (at least) and some stam and gems for gun

This beauty dropped for me in Throne of Kiljaeden off a random Fire elemental during dailies. Gave it one shot on the AH but decided to equip it after it didnt sell, Im glad it didnt sell now. Good ring for sure.

This is remarkably untrue. The only reason to get agility, is due to the fact that it provides attack power and crit. The Band of the Exorcist does not provide straight agility, however it does provide both attack power and crit rating. It also 1-ups the Truestrike Ring by having hit rating, an essential stat for any hunter.

While it is true that stamina and resilience hold next to no worth for a PvE Hunter, the Band of the Exorcist is a better hunter ring regardless of having stamina/resilience on it.

Uhmm it cries hunter. 40 AP increases avg DPS and the mana regen can keep me shooting for a while.

Feral druids have no use for it, and the mana regen is waste for rogues.

dropped for me (hunter) off a trash mob in shattered halls, i think it might have been a leggionaire in those big fighting groups to the side of the halls

i had a pro pug group, and they let me need roll it,m all congrating me at the end. not everyone are greedy %^&*!@#s

Damn enhancement shammy ring yes it is if i find that man that would be really nice agility and ap with the mana that is ment for us. But most hunters want that ring and it is clearly for them but if i dont have a hunter in my group o damn i would take that lol :)

I agree--this ring really needs a buff--there are many easy to get quest & drop blue rings that are as good or even better---been thinking of one for my hunter just because purple is my favorite color (next to red & orange of course) ;)

This thing dropped for me in Botanica (normal). All greeded and i won as a resto druid. Sold it for merely 260g to one I know. I'm not much of a commercial AH player so I'm very happy with it and buy some nice Exlted-required gear with it :D

It's definately a hunter item though

I got this off one of the wind guys on the Elemental Plateau in Nagrand, after a day or two of nobody buyin it in the auction house i ended up selling it to a feral druid for only 180gold. I decided not to use it myself, as a hunter, because better things would come around in the near future, like the PVP ring and some from Karazhan.

I found this on one of the Ethereum mobs in Netherstorm. I sold it very quickly in AH for 450g. A couple of hunters said to me that's a fair price for it but considering how quickly it sold, it is possibly worth a bit more.
