Well, if you spec for DW, your heal won't be good anyway.
But, I like this better than the Rune Dagger of Solace https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=28322
because this one has int and mp5 instead of sta and resilence.

I know many shamans that use both the Runed Dagger of Solace and this dagger to off-heal in Heroic Instances. This weapon definently has its place so don't pass it up or vendor it like many enhancement shamans I know that wish they would have kept it.

Tetris is correct however dugdug, you are very sorely mistaken. As an enhancement Shaman I heal often, not only myself but also others. If something goes wrong and my group's healer dies, I can click a macro that equips this with Gavel of Pure Light (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=29175) both with +81 healing enchants. If I then drop Wrath of Air totem I suddenly gain a total of 734 healing. Obviously since I still have melee dps gear on I don't have a lot of staying power but having over 700 +heal allows me to become a substitute main healer for most of the encounters in the game (some heroic bosses are still too much).

Then this dagger is seriously wtfpwn. - Offhanding a heal dagger, with mp5, and immediatly having over 700+heal by swapping out, healing then popping shamanistic rage and then going back to healing isn't something to scoff about. No, you won't have earth shield, natures swiftness or any of that other jazz, but this in a sticky situation could mean the difference between a raid wipe or not.

This is definately up there on my to-get list.

This is currently by far the best healing offhand for shammys.
So enjoy it until bliz finds out their error and makes this one main-hand too.

This is apparently the only healing weapon available with over 100 +healing that can be put in the offhand.

While Restoration talents are certainly better than DWing this alone, if you already are Enhancement and need to heal something, this makes a great supplement.

Nethershard","Ceremonial Kris", "Illidari-Bane Mageblade", "Summoner's Blade", "Thunderlord Scalpel", "Vibro Dagger", "Vibro Sword", and "Revered Mother's Crysknife": These weapons can now only be used in the main hand.

No love for the duel wield shammy huh blizz.
