It really does have a low drop rate. I've been trying to aquire this pattern for a couple days now. Me and a group of my friends have been running arc to the 3rd boss over and over again trying to get this pattern to drop for me. It has come down to the fact I'm going to hit exalted before I get this pattern.

This just dropped for me in heroic. It took many runs to get this pattern. I ran on both normal and heroic.

I know the numbers are skewed since it only drops when tailors are around, and there's always just plain bad RNG, but this thing was a pain to farm for my paladin (yes, my pally is a tailor :P) - no speed boosts (besides Long Arm of the Law), the large mobs have very long aggro ranges, and no invisibilty to skip them.

I did it 3 times on heroic and probably at least 30-35 times on normal before it finally dropped on normal mode. I ended up hitting the instance cap a lot and waiting around or just trying the next day. So it wasn't so much that fighting the mobs on the way was difficult as it was just tedious enough after doing it so many times that you really wish you didn't have to.

I always seem to have terrible luck with the RNG drops in general though, so I hope everyone else who tries has far better fortune than I did. ;) I love the look of these pants and am looking forward to using it in a custom Stormwind transmogrification set on my mage.

Confirmed. I also got the counterpart Hood pattern from Warp Splinter of Botanica. I wonder what the % drop rate is for these two patterns.

Got the pattern off of Dallia in Arcatraz on Normal mode. Got the Hat pattern off of Warp Splinter in Botanica on Normal mode too.

This item drops both in normal and in heroic mode. However, the drop chanse is 50 times higher in heroic mode.

Only tailors see pattern drop, droprate isnt accurate its actually much higher than 0.2% in normal :P

just for the guy above who asked why is a mage wearing these in the screenshot "what a waste"/ normally i dont add coments like this but i couldnt resist, most ppl with a 1st grade education know the guy isnt wearing them he is a tailor and he simply ctrl clicked the item in his recipe book. sorry i just couldnt resist- have a nice day :)

can anyone really be sure the drop rate isn't 0.2%?

I've almost reached my 30th run going after this pattern.

Still nothing, seen all the other patterns drop at least twice. including the felsteel leggings twice.

still no show on this one. and I want my name stamped on my gear, petty as it is, so I'm not going to buy from someone else.

Got my pattern today from 2nd boss in nonheroic arca. So I guess I got lucky with %'s and I'm happily making these for all healers in my guild. Oh, and for free without fee.

I love seeing the postings about drop percentages and how many times someone has run an instance and not seen an item drop.

The fact is....you could run this instance 100,000 times....and it may never drop for you. It would be terrible luck, and unlikely....but its entirely possible.

So for those who have been thru it 30 times and are getting frustrated.....buckle up....could be a long, long time before you see it.

Im a shad priest in kara gear and froze shadow weave and i plan on speccing back to holy. Im gonna farm for this recipe and the way i see it, ill be working on rep for an epic healing mace as well, so think positive :)
