This is it, your next level of healing potions after Major Healing. These start dropping a bit once you start killing level 66-67+ mobs. Compared to the increase in stamina in The Burning Crusade, these seem less effective at 65 than major healing potions did at 60.

The stamina boost is awesome imo, over 12k health tanking really owns 5mans anywhere you turn. Which is a nice change, imo, good to see a big buff

With the Buff from https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=13503 the range of restoration of this potion is increased to 2100-3500 health.

A semi-good alternative for this for raiders in Gruul's Lair would be Red Ogre Brew (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32784).

When you reach honored with Ogri'la, you can purchase these and Blue Ogre Brews (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32783) from Jho'nass (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=23428) using Apexis shards (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=32569).

Blue Ogre Brews are on a par with super mana potions, both restoring 1800 to 3000 mana.

However, Red Ogre Brews restore less health than super health potions (https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=22829) do. The brew restores only 1050 to 1750 health while the potion restores 1500 to 2500.

Those who want to save on gold may want to take these as an alternative (perhaps for when you don't need that much health restored, but want to take precautions against busy healers).

As of some time, probably patch 3.0.2, the cooldown on these and (i believe) all potions starts after exiting combat, so only 1 per boss fight.

I absolutely love looting these pots while running Heroic Utgarde Keep (this is the only 80 Heroic I've seen them drop in).

The irony is this potion is to low for the level of mob you are killing. These should have been dropping in the the Outlands. These are 10-15 levels below what you need in this area, and those dropped in Outlands and classic areas and dungeons are 10-15 levels below what is needed. I wish Blizzard would fix a more equitable healing potion drop and not have potion drops far below the normal level that would be questing in the area.

You can get insane amounts of these as a rogue by pickpocketing most humanoids. They are also in junkboxes. Spend some time and you will have plenty for yourself and maybe some for the auction house.

I just got one of these out of a Strong Junkbox that I pickpocketed from one of the Bonechewer orcs south of Thrallmar in Outland.

Update: It seems that I get a LOT of these from pickpocketing in Outland, both directly from pockets and from junkboxes. I've gotten two in the last half hour. Go rogues!

Alliance Grand Master Alchemist, located on the bottom floor of the mage tower at Honor Hold

Hellfire Peninsula: Apothecary Antonivich
Horde Grand Master Alchemist, located inside the mage tower on the west side of Thrallmar

You need to have an alchemy level of 325 to learn this from Alchemist Gribble and it costs 5 gold to learn. He is at 53,65 in Honor Hold in Hellfire Peninsula.

I couldn't find the recipe to purchase or train at Thrallmar, and I have over 350 skill points in alchemy. Any more ideas?
