If you aren't an enchanter, farm blue items from Bog Lurker
I have found him at 85/90, and give somebody to disenchat that!

That's the best if you want to make a Riding Crop

Easy 10 enchanting levels right here.
You can learn this "Small Prismatic Shard" spell at enchanting level 335. Now,
you can go up 10 enchanting levels by simply turning 3 x small prismatic shard
to 1 Large prismatic shard, then turn em back to small ones again. (by casting
"Large Prismatic Shard" spell.

The "Small Prismatic Shard" spell turns "Gray" at level 345, saved me up lotta gold there
since I've been buying and dusting greens via AH.

This item is now junk on my server. You can get a whole stack for less than 1 gold.
Remember when shards were valuable? Well today they are way too common and worth nothing.
It is actually better to sell your BoP blues to a vendor. Or cross your fingers and hope for a Dust/Essence drop at 20%/5% chance respectively.

I just got one off some pally boots in ZG from Bat Boss. Horde side so whatever they were they were plate with int and such. Pfffft. Pallys FTL. =)

Won one of these in ZG the day the patch came out. Might've been the first on Stormrage, no idea though. Yes they're used as a common expac mat, recipes that need it so far are:
Riding Crop (10% mount speed on equip, 25% more for 10 secs when used)
Ultra-Spectropic Detection Goggles (allows you to see and loot mana motes which turn you can turn into primal mana which is used as a mat in LOTS of high level recipes)
Enchant Bracer - Major Defense (defense rating +12)
Enchant Bracer - Superior Healing (healing +30)

They were added in this patch to get ready for the expac just like the newly added pally/shammy drops for the opposite faction. Stock up on them and you'll make some serious doe when the expac hits.

Just got this from disenchanting my Verimonde's Last Resort, the AD reward dagger o.o

It was the very first thing I've disenchanted since the patch went live hehe. As far as I know mine was the first to be seen on my server, Cenarion Circle.

Just like most chanting essences, 3 small prismatics can be combined to create 1 large prismatic.

Interesting that everyone is making such a big deal over these...I've got about 20 of these now...and I get 2 or 3 a day from d/eing repeatable quest rewards. Hopeing to have 3 full stacks by the time TBC goes live.

DE 3 blues no one needed, from ZG run, like the zulian stone axe ea. And they all dropped a Small Prismatic Shard.

Well I don't like them because we mages need larg brilliant shards for dps potions and half the time we get this useless (for now) shard.

We can't use them yet, plus any lv55-56+ blue gives them now; why would anyone buy these (considering we'll have plenty of blue gear to DE very soon)? The same idiots who are purchasing white-label jewelcrafting recipes off the AH for exorbitant prices?

Actually, for a enchater, they are very usefull, you can learn the pattern to turn 3 smalls into a large, and if you have no use for smalls, find a encahter, like me, to turn them into large for you. I need the large ones alot, so getting smalls are fine with me. It takes 8 large to do the 40 plus spell damage to weapon, and other matts along with it. So it can be very expensive, luckely, we can turn smalls into larges! So there is alot of use for them. IF u dont want em, give em to me, lol.
