Astromages in Mechanar drop this item. It is the best tailoring patteron for getting from 360 to 375 (requires netherweave bolts instead of imbued netherweave, so it's cheaper)

"Using addendum C instead of imbued netherweave robes/tunics will save you 390 netherweave and 34 netherweb spider silk. You will need more rune thread and 342 arcane dust (instead of 204). All in all, you will save almost 300 gold (by the estimations used before), and you will have the 35 bolts of imbued cloth (from the 340-350 step) left over, which can then be used bags, transmutes,

Did two mechanar runs for this pattern to drop. Note when it drops only people with tailoring who don't have the pattern can see the roll window.

Got it on my first Mechanar run, by far the best way to raise to 375. Save yourself some gold on the way to 375 and get some Sha'tar rep at the same time by getting this pattern.

Took me 4 or 5 runs to get it. Don't forget the drop rate's actually higher since only tailors can see the roll.

In an attempt to get this pattern, I've ran a few extra Mechanar runs.. No luck so far. It's quite a nice little farm i got going on, I like the feeling when someone is about to loot an Astromage.
(especially when it's my loot)

When i get this pattern, rather than if, i will be able to gain the last ten tailoring skills pretty cheap. Disenchanting TBC-greens helps out alot with the Arcane Dusts.

Another HUGE benefit is the 100% guaranteed chance of getting a Large Prismatic Shard when disenchanted. Makes them worth both trying to sell and disechant. Can't get them sold for 20G or more? Disenchant and sell the shard!

Though some tailors may be unlucky with drop rate, I would guess the rate may be higher than what is shown here. When the recipe drops only tailors can see it in the loot window. If it by chance drops on a run with no tailors no one in the group would be able to see it and I would suppose the information would not be recorded to the databases.

I was fortunate and got both boots and robe in my first Mechanar run. Good luck and if you are farming for the recipe with little luck think of the reputation and other goodies you are getting in the process.

I guess that, since there are relatively few Astromages in the instance, your chances of success may vary wildly.

Most tailors I know got this pattern within a small number of runs. On the other hand, I have reached exalted status with sha'tar with the vast majority of runs being through Mechanar, and I've only seen this pattern drop once (I lost the roll).

So if you happen to find yourself in this unfortunate situation, think of it this way. If you still need stuff out of the instance, by all means keep trying. On the other hand, if you have everything you want out of it and/or are keen to get max tailoring (for example, to access the Primal Mooncloth Robes), then you might consider biting the bullet and making the imbued robes/tunics. If you're worried about the money, consider that time spent farming for this pattern could be spend in your favourite alternative instances or even farming to make money and collect cloth. You could well end up ahead of someone who just horded the mats hoping for this pattern to drop, and you won't go mad running the same instance over and over.

It's been a couple of months since I made my Primal Mooncloth Robe. I still run heroic Mechanar for badges on a regular basis, and (as I mentioned) I still don't have this pattern. I don't care any more since I don't need it and don't intend to make it, but it's kind of funny. That's the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

After reading Maytal's woes about this pattern dropping, I thought I would never get this pattern.
However, I ran Mech today though and this pattern dropped twice. O.o

If you're trying to complete your collection of tailoring patterns, note that it is entirely possible to solo this instance as an arcane mage -- just abuse Mirror Image on the bosses and Invisibility on the bridge trash. If you're just going for the pattern, though, it's probably more efficient to just clear up to Nethermancer and then reset. The drop rate is pretty awful, though.

Droprate seems a serious problem. However if you are a tailor. You stand a good chance of getting it. Less then 1% for all ppl looting it. However it seems only tailors will see it. ;-)

I have seen the Arcanoweave Robe pattern drop in Heroic Mech, so this one likely can as well.

Been running Heroic Mech like everyday, started grinding Heroic mech when I got Revered, now I'm Exalted and the thing still havent dropped.

It is very hard to figur out the real drop rate, but its much higher then 1%. It ONLY drops for tailors that do not have the patten, and there may be a min tailor, but that I am not sure about. If one of five are tailor then the drop rate would be time times, minus the % of ppl tailors that have it already. I would make a ballpark guess of 3-5%, and with about 10 guys per mech, it seem very reasonable.

First time commenting, thank you for having me here. My name is Tamarra, and I am a WoW junkie!
I ran Mech a dozen times easy, told my group going in each time I wanted the pattern. Dropped off mob going into event with last boss, someone looted during battle --four people were tailors, another person needed it and won :(
However! With two mobs before the boss, it dropped again, same run!
375 tailoring, here I come.

From what I have heard, this ONLY drops in normal mode, NOT heroic. Take this with a boulder-sized grain of salt because I have not farmed this myself. If you have ran it many times and have yet to see this drop, try normal mode out a couple times. =]

P.S. PLEASE dispel this rumor if you have gotten it on heroic. This is just what I have HEARD, not experienced. ;D

These drop of Sunseeker Astromage's in NORMAL Mechanar. It's 8 of these Astromages in the instance (before last boss).
They have approx 6% drop chance from all of the Astromages and you would most likely have it before you're done with you're 4th run.

Dropped 2 of these for me and a mage the first time I was inside Mechanar with my priest :)

I got this patter way back when I was like 320 tailoring or something, I rolled and won it and banked it thinking it was useless but I may as well save it and learn it later. Now at 366 tailoring I was rumbling through my bank whining about how imbued nether robes take so much mats to skill your tailoring, then I saw THIS relic in my vault. This is MUCH easier to skill on to get to 375 tailoring than anything I have seen so far. Especially since Im a tailor/enchanter. Ive got over 1000 dust rotting in my bank and this is going to make skilling a piece of cake.
