I like throwing these things at people who are AFK. It's a fairly obscure item from a dungeon that's not run much anymore, so most have no idea what they are or where they came from. I rarely stick around to see my victims' reactions, but when I do it's always bewilderment. Sadly, few of them get the reference.

I just wish I could toss them (and the Heavy Leather Ball) cross-faction.

You actually can throw these to people of the opposite faction if you have a priest Mind Control them and then toss it at them. It was rather amusing actually tossing it between horde and alliance outside Shat one night.

These are all of the warnings for Happy Fun Rock:

* The elderly and children under 10 should avoid prolonged exposure to Happy Fun Rock.
* Caution: Happy Fun Rock may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds.

Thottbot has become so unreliable with there prices. I seriously doubt that the Happy Fun Rock is worth 81g. I could see it selling for 10g maybe 20g but even 20g is pushing it.

This is the most powerful item in wow it can destroy reputations , friendships and form unholy alliances i was on a server long ago everyone was in peace together we all quested ate and shared our cities even the horde alliance war was cooling down then on a dark day this item droped that started it all it droped for a tauren the allies hit fast and hard the horde blamed the tauren race t all the races began to conspire against eachother guilds went to war all chaos broke out the black temples was opened and taken over by the current holder of this item this is no happy fun rock aim to take it and drop it into the sea where no one will ever find it again maybe then the peace will return maybe then the wars and killings will stop and the poor depressed citizens of IF all they do is drink all day its so sad this is no happy fun rock (I was really bored lol)

The "Happy Fun Ball" was the subject of a parody advertisement on Saturday Night Live, originally aired on NBC on February 16, 1991.

Voiced by Phil Hartman, the ad declared that Happy Fun Ball (produced by Wacky Products Incorporated, and its parent company, Global Chemical Unlimited), just $14.95, was "the toy sensation that's sweeping the nation!" However, there were a number of bizarre disclaimers which followed the ad, including "may suddenly accelerate to dangerous speeds" and "if Happy Fun Ball begins to smoke seek shelter and cover head." Its ingredients include "an unknown glowing substance which fell to Earth, presumably from outer space", and said ingredients are not to be "touched, inhaled, or looked at" if exposed due to rupture. Perhaps most famously, viewers are warned, "Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball."

The parody effectively lampooned advertisers, toy manufacturers, chemical companies, absurdly long legal disclaimers, alien conspiracies, and even mentioned the 1991 Gulf War (stating that Happy Fun Ball is being dropped by US warplanes on Iraq).

Several years later, in the beginning of one of the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer sketches, Happy Fun Ball was presented as one of the sponsors, with the claim that Happy Fun Ball was "Still legal in 16 states. It's happy. It's fun. It's Happy Fun Ball."
