There is a chamber which leads to where you kill Kelris.

Under the "center" of the walking path, underwater, is the stone.

Once you click it, a 28 Elite appears to protect it.

Thats the extent of it.

The one who spawns is ´Baron Aquanis´ and is an level 24 elite.
He drops "Strange Wate Globe" that begins a quest.

The stone is located in the same location as Baron Aquanis on the Blackfathom Deeps Map, to reach this place you have to look around a bit and actually enter the Blackfathom Deeps Dungeon. Baron Aquanis will attack when you access the Fathom Stone to take out the Fathom Core. The stone is nowhere near the start of the dungeon like the quest says, and can be found underwater in a wide open chamber beneath a stone walkway. If u solo be level 32 at least, easier at 35+.

on the mini-map, the core is imemdiately under a section in the center of the dungeon where the dark circle is.

This quest is now picked up at the begin of the instance, and turned in to the same NPC. An elite no longer spawns when item is looted.

Clicky for this quest drop is underwater in the ruins deep in the zone.. about the center of the cavern, underneath the walkway that crosses the room.

Its in the second massive pool of the instance, stealthed to it at level 27

It summons a boss(level 27, baron aquanis) but you can grab it before hes summoned anyhow. Just take a druid to stealth with you(We had two druids stealthing to it) and you'll be fine ^^

Im a lvl 55 rogue been runing BFD for a long time to farm drops for my alts and my friends.
Seen this character on the instance atlas never was able to find him thanks guys!

This item is underwater in the room with Baron Aquanis (level 27). After you kill clear the room and kill him, dive under the water and check for a stone sticking up out of the sand.

To reach the fathom core:

-Enter the Instance
-goto The drowned sacellum
-goto the pool of Ask'Ar (big Turtle)
-go south
-now u can first goto the shrine of Geilhast to get +5 intelligence +5 spirit +15 frost damage buff
-goto Moonshrine ru�ns
Near the entrance under the long small "bridge"/walkway lies the Stone

There are threshers in the pool, which can be pull-cleared without any real problems - they are elites, but fairly spread out.

The stone is visible shortly after entering the water - it is a 'clickable' under the walkway. When a person clicks on the stone, the Baron spawns.

We were able to 2-man him - a 25 Mage (frost spec) and a 25 priestess (Disc/Shadow) - we couldn't crowd control him at all, but my PW:Ss held up, and we killed him ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS - we were in greens, and no uber-buffing, either.

AFTER killing him, EACH PERSON with the quest needs to loot the Fathom Stone AGAIN/SEPERATELY- I did NOT do it, and didn't realize until we went to cash in all 4 quests from the guy in ZS. :(

Also, as mentioned above, the Baron will drop a quest-starting globe, so be sure everyone gets that, as well.

(by the way - a 60 Rogue ran us through the whole place, but hearthed after the 'last' fights, and we thought we'd just passed the stone along the way somewhere. We came here to find out where to find the stone, not realizing that there would be a Boss trigger spawn. But, we got all worked up over nothing - he was pretty easy).

I stealthed it at 25 with my druid. (I reccoment to be at least lvl 23 if you want to stealth it) When i grapped the core i didn't get time to stealth as i instantly went into combat because the boss spawned. I killed it though, had like a quarter of health left. In second big pool inside the instance right in the middle. Good luck all!
