I did this quest a couple times. The first group I did it with triggered it unexpectedly and were not prepared, that group wipped near the end. Knowing what to expect the second time, I warned everyone. Everyone got the guest, then we started it. The second time, much to my surprise, it went pretty easily.

I think the difference was knowing what to expect. I was the healer both times (Shadow Priest). The first group was not prepared for all the different waves of attackers. Since the first group was not prepared they did not finish each wave before the next appeared. Not getting one wave finished before the next arrives is often a fatal mistake. I eventually got over run and killed resulting in a wipe, the first time.

The second time the group did not let up between waves, no one was picking up stuff etc. and we were not caught off guard. Since I knew how long the fight was going to be, I fired up 30% Vampiric Regeneration and used the mobs to generate a good amount of healing. I kept as many shields up as I could & conserved my mana. By being veeery alert I was also able to drink at least once between the waves. The bottom line is, the second time no one died, I never got pursued and the whole thing went smooth. Afterwards the group seemed a little confused as to why I had cautioned everyone so much. It was all about preparation and strategy.

It was quite fun the second time, an impressive pile of enemies hits the dirt. The first time the number of mobs seemed hopeless. The second time, since we finished each group before the next one, it felt much more like the rest of the instance.

Bottom line, if the group, particularly the healer, knows what to expect it can go pretty smooth.

Its the reward from a Q in RFD named "Clencing the idol" or something like that.

Starts from a guy you find IN the instance, and you must do the quest as many times as the ppl tha want the ring.. ( tis bugged ).

Also its HARD so ignore the 37 lvl requirement.

The quest is strange, you all get an Oathstone, then you all have to give it back NO ONE should accept the quest until everyone has given back the oathstones, then, once you've all completed the oathstone quest, you can proceed as you normally do with these group escort quests.

It is UNGODLY hard, basically, you get increasing waves of 37-38 elite necromancers and undead warrior boars, as well as 35-36 non elite battle boars (Which have reasonable HP)

You get approx 1 wave a minute for 5 minutes, and the Party longevity starts to tell, you need plenty of healers, we had a Druid and a Shaman and didn't keep up.

I would reccomend everyone to try this quest, just to test how good you are. We got onto the last wave before we fell, and the floor covered with the bodies of your foes is glorious!

I can say that was one heck of a fight you have to do. Wave after wave after wave of mobs spawning, the ground really is covered up with bodies by the time you are done. We had a 60 mage helping us out and that had to have made the difference.

This is how ALL escort quests work. You hand in something that triggers the next step which is the actuall escort. Don't start the escort until everyone has done part 1 (the handin is the pre-req of the escort).
