This item set is available for the pre-Wrath of the Lich King world event starting today. In fact, this is the Burning Crusade version of this set that was featured in 2006.

The Gloves and shoulders are bought from the Argent Dawn Quartermaster for 15 Necrotic runes each. However you need 10 runes to unlock the quarter master.

The chest and legs are dropped from rare mobs and from the "shadow of doom".

The legs normally drop from the Rare mobs, such as the abominations, and the chest seems to only drop from the shadows, however this info is only from a small sample of around 20 loots so may be unreliable.

Note - The set bonus is additional, so with all 4 pieces you'll have 6% extra damage to undead :)

Got legs and chest on the same grind, ended up with over 350 orbs so I easily buy the rest of the set, which was a huge upgrade for me as a elemental shaman having just hit level 70 and respeccing to Enhancment. Guess I was lucky to be able to farm alone with a couple of friends instead of tagfighting with alot of other people.

If you have the opportunity to get this set, it is easier than grinding Battleground honor points and is most definitely worth it for someone who may have just hit lvl 70 and needs some decent gear to carry them.

A step up from this would be the Gladiator sets and Kara/BT but if you haven't got the time or the gear to get you there, this will help you along the way.

I got both chest and legs (skirt) in one hour. I have enough stones for the rest. I usually have Merciless Gladiator, but this will be cool for scourge fighting and looking "uniform" lol. Wish there was a helm.

for all you chanters out there this is an easy way to make Void Crystals. costs only 15 runes and DE's for about 1.25 viod crystal. can be done with drops as well. i got about 18 of them in only a couple of hours, and if your the only chanter in the group, no on else needs the runes after the initial 40 (10 for quest and 15x2 for the armor) other than the 8 to summon shadows.

When does the Scourge Invasion end? Is it after the Hallowed End Festival, or after WotLK comes out? Can anyone answer me that question please cause I would like to get all the armor but work limits my playing time lol.

This is a really nice set, i wish that there was a helm that went with it but we can't have it all. Easier to get then some of the rep gear, been grinding for this set for a while https://www.wowhead.com/cata/itemset=749 and as a casual player this works just fine for me. Sure it would be nicer with a helm and some sockets but until something better comes out (WoTLK) this will do.

nice for someone who hit 70 couple weeks before wrath and doesnt have the time to grind out all the rep. or doesnt want to considering how quickly gear will be replaced.
I been doing bgs since I hit 70 and when I found out these dropped I went after them.

I am glad I saved this set! With the transmogrifier in patch 4.3 I can use this again, but with the stats of my current gear:) Nice to have something few people have.

I think that the Helm of Desolation and the Girdle of the Blasted Reaches fits well with this set. They could be something to go for if you're going to use this set for transmogrification.

It doesn't look to bad IMO.

Use to have all 4pc in bank, but somehow lost chest piece.
I'm afraid it was deleted by accident to get some bank space :O(
Really hope GM will help me to restore it......... (cross fingers)
