This is the currency that is used to unlock the The Regrowth and Molten Front Daily Quest Hubs at the player's discretion.

The currency will be rewarded in small amounts from the daily quests in the zone (similar to Champion's Seals) and will be spendable by the player to unlock more dailies and cause further story-line progression to occur.

The marks themselves are only used for story-line progression (which includes new quests at each location) and depending on which phases/locations have been unlocked, any items are simply purchased with gold. Once the player has completed:

additional items are available for purchase using the marks themselves, such that continuing to earn them from dailies proves useful, at least for a while.

In this way, players can experience the story and phasing at their own pace, rather than on a timeline or the pace of the rest of the sever.

You need marks to unlock the following things:

- 20 marks
- 150 marks

So far, the total required amount needed is 695 marks, but since you effectively get 15 of the 20 marks back when you open the portal to the Molten Front, it's really more like 680. I don't know the exact number of marks you'll be able to earn per day in the later phases, but I expect it will take around two months for a player to unlock everything.

Seems as though mine went a little different on day three:

I received a total of 23 marks on day three, I hope I didn't miss anything.

So let me get this straight..

If you already are exalted with those factions, the only reason you would be needing the marks - after you've unlocked it all of course - is to either get some green stuff or a chance to get the companion?

Hotfix July 6th:

Players are now receiving 6 Marks of the World Tree from Caught Unawares and 10 marks from The Sanctuary Must Not Fall, which now allows players to obtain 20 marks as soon as they finish their first days’ worth of daily quests and unlock the Molten Front. The amount of marks offered is properly updated in player Quest Logs as well.

So no more unnecessary waiting for those 'late' starters, which means all my alts will have a tiny smile on their faces.

I had been stuck at 11 marks as well. I went and did my dailys to get to 151 then did the shadow wardens. I then got 11 and there was nothing else. I went back today and there were two more dailys I couldent see/get when I was there the last time. (Wicked Web's and Solar Core Destruction). Then I found a acorn thing on a druid of flame which gave me another 5 + 1 for a daily after you plant it so im at a total of 21 now.

Im not sure how people got this 17 number if they are not counting the Acorn turn in + the 1 from the quest after I would be at 15.

Seems to me that people are getting confused when it comes to doing the dailies and doing trash runs. As of right now, you get rep with Guardians of Hyjal for completing the dailies......by doing trash runs in the actual raid, you get rep with Avengers of Hyjal. By doing trash runs and earning Friendly rep with Avengers, you can purchase a 378 back piece from the vendor located at the entrance of the raid. By earning honored rep with Avengers, you can purchase a 378 waist piece. This would be the reason for doing trash runs, not to mention the trash has the potential to drop 378 BOE items. After honored, there is no point in doing trash runs anymore because they no longer give rep after honored and you have to down bosses, thus keeping ppl from gearing out toons just by doing trash.

While completing the dailies has no reputation benefit, once you unlock some certain NPCs, you can purchase patterns for your crafting professions, such as 378 patterns for engineering and blacksmithing. I believe tailoring patterns at this point are all zone drops in the raid. Hope this helps clear up some of the confusion regarding doing dailies and doing trash runs.

If you're stuck at 11, it's possible you're missing the Anren/Tholo (if you unlocked the Druids of the Talon) or Fire Lasher (if you unlocked the Shadow Wardens). Both quests start with one-offs far from hubs that reward five marks and open up a one-mark daily. In order to complete these dailies as quickly as possible, you will want to open these two dailies up as soon as possible. Doing whichever of these quests is open to you today saves you an entire day of unlocking the very next faction.

Ive turned in the first 150, isnt a vendor suppose to open up? Ive done all the first set of new dailies (after the first 150 marks) and cant find it anywhere

I opened Shadow Wardens and Druids on two separate characters, and wanted to clear up some questions people have asked.

If you did dailies every day, at the end of today (Tuesday), after turning in 150 to the vendor of your choice, you should have 32 marks if you did , or at <to be updated later today> if you did

The number above is after turning in both factions at this point AND doing the one time quest that gives you 5 (Wardens quest is and Druids is ) for the faction you just opened up AND doing the one new daily that this one time quest then opens up

Also, to get the one time quests when you open the second faction up after turning in the first 150 marks, here's some good advice from spadeslegend:
"If you were perviously doing druid of the talon then go kill a druid of the flame at Widow Clutch in the Molten Front he will drop a seed. After returning the seed (one time for 5 marks) an additional daily will be available for 1 addtional mark. That quest is called "The Mysterious Seed".

Now if you did the Shadow Warden first it's a bit more complicated. The area where you first get dailies inside the molten front there is a wall of fire there that lead up to the furance. Considereing you havent unlocked your way in to the cave below there you will need to die to get there. So die as close as you can to the Big hot cracked rock at the center of the furance. When you bring your corpse back rez, while falling through the hole rez. Use leviate, slowfall whatever you got. If not its ok too.. youre just gonna die again when you hit the bottom, but when you run back this time you'll be good to go.Travel though the cave to Arnen Shadowseeker. Its an escort quest You will find the quest turn in not in the right location either. Tholo Whitehoof will be at the widows clutch were you did your Shadow Warden dailies. The escort will count for 5 marks and a new daily will become avalable from Arnen Shadowseeker who will also be at Widows Clutch."

Qn 1: How many marks should I be at at the end of opening up either the druids or the wardens.
Assuming you didn't do any hacks to get an extra set of dailies before Blizzard patched this hole, you should end up with 17 at the end of the first day. If you have only 11, you need to do the one time quest that gives you 5 (Wardens quest is and Druids is ) , plus it also opens up a new daily which gives you 1 more

Qn 2: Do Shadow Wardens give more marks than from Druids.
No, both award the same number of quests and marks. The quests are different, but difficulty is about the same so don't stress, just pick one and move on.

Qn. 3: Do I get any rewards from opening up either the Shadow Wardens or the Druids?
No, you need to open up BOTH factions before you get access to any vendors.

Qn. 4: What is the point of doing these quests, what gear do I get once I open the vendors?
mmo-champion has a page with a good list, not sure if I can link to other sites so I'm leaving that as an exercise to the reader. Alternatively see the "sells" and comments section in wowhead for each of the vendors that open up :

Qn. 4: Do I get to do both Shadow Wardens and Druid quests once I open them both up by turning in 150 marks to each faction
Not on the same day. You get to pick at the start of each day from one of the NPCs which questline you want to follow for that day, so you can alternate if you want to get the different achievements or are just bored

Where's the healer love on these vendors?

6 rings - 2 str dps, 2 str tank, 1 agi dps, 1 spell dps (no spirit)
4 relics - 1 str dps, 1 agi dps, 1 str tank, 1 spell dps (no spirit)

There's one piece of holy paladin gear, and one int trinket with a mastery use bonus pulling caster/healer double duty.

This makes me sad. In the pants. On the other hand, I guess it saves me from having to do repetitive dailies for a month, so there's that.

So is 365 gear the only benefit to doing these dailies? I've read through the comments and, unless it's for alts, I can't find any reason why I would do these as someone wearing a mix of 359 and 372 gear.

the guild tabard no longer gains 100% gains... it did until yesterday... but no longer works for extra guild rep.

I chose to go with the druids of the talon first, so today I unlocked the Shadow Wardens. However, I went over to kill a druid of the flame while not doing any of the actual Shadow Warden dailies. I did the find the lasher quest and went on to do my normal Druids of the Talon dailies because I want the achievement for, " Fire in the Skies." After doing all of my normal dailies, I had another "extra" quest called, "Some Like It Hot." So at the end of the day I had 23 marks. I believe that this extra daily was given because I completed both the one-time only quests (escort for the druids and lasher for the SW). If I am correct in my assumption, I will be able to do all of my regular quests plus this extra one to bring my total to 26 marks per day. I will have to confirm tomorrow though.

Edit: So apparently you do recieve 26 marks per day now. I am currently at 49 after the dailies now.

My hunter started with Shadow Wardens, my shaman with the Druids of the Talon. They have both done all quests available for their group every single day, including the 'special' shorties with the acorn and the badly needing of water (both on the first day of questing for that group). Both chars are now on 17 after unlocking the other group. As this is can't be a coincedence, it's safe to assume that 17 is the correct number. How some people are on 23 is a mystery, but with all the resets the last two weeks, things might have bugged out on some servers.

i dont know what i missed, but i got 48, i had 17 marks like everyone else and did the one time 5 marks quest, so thas 23 like everyone else, and then i did the druid daily which ended up with 48 :(, wtf?

I see a few people missed one mark after they unlocked both druids and shadow. I missed one mark yesterday, and I know which one it was. I chose to do shadow dailies for the skinning factor, and even though I already did the initial "need...water...badly" on the druids side, I could not get the "Hounds of Shannox" that would have took me to 26 marks. Did anybody else have this problem? I know lasher quests can always be done no matter which dailies they do since the starting point for the quest is at the beginning, but the hounds quest is not. Can anyone confirm yes or no on this?

7/19 5 marks after first 125 turn in went with the ancients and got an xtra 3 today from the new daily they give

also a side from the possible phasing issue with additional armaments doing that turn in is only currently giving an xtra 2 marks, but like i said some ppl r claiming that its just for the first day and tomorrow u may get 4 xtra from doing this as ur first 125 turn in

dont personally have any for sure info on the moonwell turn in yet but i read its a 1 time quest of 10 so it works out to 2 xtra marks per day while u save up the next 125 assuming the infos correct on the 10 mark quest

i counted the mark i had today and i received 26 instead of 25 so people saying 25 are so wrong or they did a miss-calculation

i have BOTH druid of talon and shadow worden, AND filling the moonwell

and im at 38 atm, (i missed to turn in 1 daily of 1 mark of world tree, yesterday X( )

By the time all 3 vendors are unlocked... Everyone will have relatively the same number of marks... Give or take a few. But by then the only reason to get marks is for the pet from the cache.

Those who chose the moonwell first will be ahead for a little while, then getting passed up by those who open the moonwell next and so on. In the end... It reallly just removes one day of daylies to open the last vendor no matter how you look at it.... Besides the gear/patterns.

These marks are pretty useless after the completion of Molten Front. Especially the commendations that can be bought with them. You're way better running dungeons and wearing tabards for those factions than buying these. And the greens in Zen'Vorka's cache? Please.... What was in Blizzard's mind?

To be eligible to start the quest line you must be level 85 and to have completed 81 of 115 Hyjal quests. I believe you have to have completed Aessina’s Miracle.

Was wondering if anyone has found out how many of these you can have. I have completed all the unlocking quests, but doing these dailies now for all the achievments. I dont want to buy a random green each day but also dont want them to get destroyed.

Once you've completed Molten Front, there's really no point in bothering with the dailies any more (unless you desperately want the minipet). The greens are never going to be better than the gear you already have, and the commendations are a waste of time - you can get the same 250 rep by taking a minute or two to do one measly low-level quest.

Pet collectors! Scorched Stone is a chance drop from Zen'Vorka's Cache. You can buy at least one bag from Zen'Vorka each day if you have unlocked all of the dailies in the Molten Front (the bag only costs 30 Marks of the World Tree) and you are guaranteed a green quality item in every bag including the one with the pet. So there IS a reason to continue doing the Firelands dailies after you've unlocked everything! =3 Good luck, pet collectors!

Should write a book ¨Why Im still playing WoW and still bored¨ by Nepturion.

Using a month on dailys is boring.... just for some recipes that costs 300g each, i hate questing and Blizzard should have considered that not all love questing that much.
They should have made 2 ways to obtain those vendor items, one is questing.. the other way is to hand in some gold for marks or trade in items like Twilight Highlands.

Collected my 150 marks a few days ago and im on Wardens dailys now which gives 24 Mark of the World Tree a day.
Also vanquished14's post is not entirely correct, the marks per day isnt the same.
Perhaps he wrote the post from a PTR or before a hotfix.

The following order to obtain the Blacksmithing Plans and Engineering Schematics is:
- (Fastest) - -
After you have completed this chain you'll have access to vendor items,
who also give access to some Ring, Trinket, Neck and other items.

Since im in a level 25 Guild i get Bartering which is obtained with a level 24 Guild.
Vendor price on items is 27 Gold+ less with the Guild Perk.
Blacksmiting Plans and Engineering Schematics are now at 210 Gold which is 90 Gold cheaper.

This was a fun and unique quest line, but now at the end of it all. I have the gear from the vendors, recipes, the pet from Zen'vorka's cache, the title and all the achievements in the Molten Front. Why bother to do them? I have over 300 marks that are unused and cannot buy anything of use with them. Blizzard should start adding other gear, items, etc...for us to purchase. I haven't done the Molten Front dailies since I achieved everything it had to offer. Why should I quest for gold when I can craft one item and make double even triple what I would have doing the Molten Front.

Unlike a lot of dailies, quests from previous day don't necessarily lock you out of quests from the next day if you complete them on the same day.

For instance you can complete and on the same day if you picked up the quests the day before, but did not complete them.

So, if you just don't have time to do your dailies that day, at least pick up the quests from the day before for the chance to complete a quest from those NPCs the next day.
