These secondary professions also have tons of achievements to do with them like the https://www.wowhead.com/cata/achievement=1516 and maybe https://www.wowhead.com/cata/achievement=1784 plus the stuff you can get from these professions help you a lot on your journey through Azeroth and Outland.

Funny thing about this achievement is that these skills really CAN "pay the bills." Making buff foods / feasts / bandages and selling them on the AH is easily one of the quickest ways to make gold on some servers since people are sometimes too lazy to grind secondary skills from 1-450 and farm the mats themselves. They'd rather just farm the gold and buy the stuff quickly.

The name of this title came from the single, "Skills to pay the bills" a song by the beastie boys, when they were first called the young aborigines. so im surprised no one knew this, but not to many of us elders here any more playing wow and listening to hard core punk :P (WTB Old School)

with the recent patch you must get 450, and not to 350 as in previous patches.

Actually the tooltip and achievement are bugged.
It just count 3 random secondary professions, even Archaeology, so you're able to reach it skipping one of the listed profession in tooltip.
