The Shadow Gauntlet is the section of the instance before Tyrande, where you have to fight shadows of tigers and night elves, by bringing them under the moonlight that appears on your way to tyrande.
This achievement requires huge tank coordination, as in every gauntlet, mobs keep coming and they take much less damage while in the darkness, making the healer dangerously able to get a lot of threat from heals.

Depending on how the game determines the healer, this achievement may be easy. The shadow gauntlet is not really dangerous (at least in 378s). If the achievement requires the person tagged through LFD as the healer to not take any damage, it might be possible to leave them in a safe spot and have a DPS heal through the gauntlet.

Just completed this achievement, we simply had our healer stay at the portal device while our elemental shaman healed the trash. When we was about to pull the boss our healer ran to us and we all received the credit.

Also a note would be that the "healer" is choosen by party role, not by spec.

Edit - Looks like this is confirmed. The achievement is based on what spec you are in not what your role in the LFD tool is.

We got this achievement by accident last night. Our healer forgot to switch to healing spec and was in balance spec until we got to the boss. She died multiple times and we still recieved credit for the achievement. The achievement may only take into account characters who are actually in a healing spec regardless of what the role chosen is in the dungeon finder.

Easiest way to do it, take the druid healer, tell him to go into cat form and use stealth. After that rest of party needs to handle the mobs until boss and it's usually easy mode to do it, since shadow priest or retri pala can heal people up.
Anyway, it's really easy mode to do it this way.

As a priest, remember to cast Power Word: Shield on yourself before leaving the beams of moonlight. The Shadow Gauntlet's trash mobs hit for a low amount of damage, so one or more hits will be completely absorbed by the shield, leaving you unharmed and thus meeting the requirements of this achievement.
However, don't cast the shield while a new group of trashmobs is prowling towards your group, since doing so will pull aggro - especially so while using Glyph of Power Word: Shield.
If you have a fellow shadow priest in your group, ask him/her to keep PW:Shield on you if possible.

Also, remember to use Holy Nova when applicable, since it generates no threat and keeps the group topped off.

While yes, perhaps named after the infamous server. This is also the name of the group of Sorcerers named the Moon Guard, of whom Rhonin Redhair was a part of, who participated in the War of the Ancients. Curiously, Tyrande was not a part of it, while Illidan was. Think it'd be more suitable in the Well of Eternity!

Priests should Fade (30 second cooldown, removes all threat relative to the party) as often as possible. Talenting 2 points in Veiled Shadow (-6 second on Fade cooldown) and using the Glyph of Fade (-9 second cooldown) will also help immensely. With these cooldowns in place the priest can be threatless 10 seconds out of every 15. Best time to fade: when you see new mobs headed in your direction.

In addition, priests should primarily heal through Holy Nova (which causes no threat), with perhaps a Prayer of Healing just before they cast Fade.

In all honesty, if you're a Firelands geared tank like myself, this achievement is even easier. Just do what I did, have your healer step off to the side somewhere and not do a thing while the rest of the group does the gauntlet. The trash doesn't hit hard at all and with all the AoE damage output these days, they'll die pretty fast.

:D You can wipe and then pick up where you left off and still get the achi....our healer DC'd on phase in and we went without him, wiped once on last moonwell and then came back and got the achi - easy!

My brother and I just accidentally got it by finishing the shadow gauntlet as a blood DK and prot pally, when we got to tyrande we got the achievement, I am guessing because we didn't have a healer. xP

Solo'd it as a prot warrior. Victory rush kept me healed.

If you make a group specifically for this achievement and fail it, a soft reset should give you another attempt. In my case, we disbanded, then later that day I went in alone and soloed it as prot pally. I made it to the last ring and died because I was out of CDs - but when you die, your progress doesn't reset, after 2 more runs the trash stopped spawning and I could pull the boss for an achievement.

Quite trivially soloable by a blood DK as well. More or less any tank class can probably solo this achievement as long as you can outheal/block the incoming damage.

Me and my group started the Shadow Gauntlet few moments later our healer left, We got a new healer in couple of seconds.
he was damaged quit a bit but we still got the achivment wen we engaged Tyranda.

Some said the "Healers heal in dps spec" way got hotfix and doesn't work anymore... but I decided to try it out earlier today with some guildies. It STILL work just fine. I did take a couple hits and I healed in my shadow spec on my priest; switched back to holy before engaging the boss; as soon as tank pulled, we all got the achievement.

Also like the previous post noted (Thank you Tarvos), if your group really have difficulties with a dps healing, or no heal at all, bringing a priest healer bubbling herself preventing damage taken can also work. Just have to keep the bubble up every time a moonlight winks out.

Just did the achievement on my druid. I went feral spec (ow >_>), the shadowpriest helped heal, the warrior DPS went tank, we wiped once, still got it.

The easiest way to get this achieve without the fuss of switching specs (or needing a priest), is for the healer to stand at the portal, then the rest of the team self-heals through the gauntlet.

A 378 dungeon geared group has enough self-healing to waltz through. Tanks just pop those party defensive and healing CDs and Rets off-heal.

When the gauntlet is finished, and the boss round starts, the healer can then walk to the group from the portal area. The achieve wasn't instant in my case (the server was slow at updating), but as soon as the tank pulled the boss, the achieve popped up.

If you're a resto shaman and insist on sticking with the party (instead of standing away from everybody) to try to get this achievement, your Earth Shield and your Healing Stream Totem won't generate threat and should suffice when combined with the tank's self-heals.

I got this achievement quite unexpectantly ... I had used LFD ... I ported into the instance, I was to be the healer, where everyone was waiting at Tyrande ... as soon as Tyrande was pulled we got the achievement ...

How it was achieved ...

The original healer started the encounter and ported out ...
The rest of the group ran the gauntlet with no healer present ...
since no healer was present the healer took no damage
