Actually, Fandral's trash pack is just a set of 3 Druids of the Flame, two in cat form and one in humanoid form chain-casting Kneel to the Flame. They have nothing to do with the achievement at all besides the humanoid mob chain-casting, since people should be looking at him to know when the cast is finishing.

Instead, Fandral's Flames are actually two objects that look like flame orbs on pedestals. Their model is identical to the orbs summoned during his encounter. Each Flame has 3 swirling circles next to it, indicating that each Flame requires at least 3 people in range to click it, requiring a total of 6 people to make their way to each respective Flame and get close enough to click (~~on 10-man; 25-man probably requires more~~ 6 for both 10 and 25). Once all 6 people are in position, you give the order to right-click the Flames once after the next Kneel to the Flames cast finishes, and you should have the achievement.

It is highly worth noting that feral-type shapeshift forms including Bear Form, Cat Form, and Ghost Wolf will cause channeling Fandral's Flames to fail or bug out. We just lost credit on this last night because our shaman was still in Ghost Wolf form after he'd made his way up there and it wouldn't let him channel at all. So, make sure all of your players at the Flames are out of forms before you make the call to channel, as if you don't notice an error fast enough on channeling you will end up losing your chance because of Kneel to the Flame going off and hitting someone.

Lastly, Fandral's Flames despawn if someone is hit. Haven't attempted to soft reset the instance to see if they'll respawn or not, since we killed Staghelm afterwards both times, but until a possible soft reset you've lost your chance at the achievement if someone got hit. Based on subsequent posts, it's apparent that Fandral's Flames will respawn on a soft reset of the instance, assuming Fandral is still alive. The orbs will also despawn if the trash pack is pulled.

This is probably one of the more interesting raid achievements they've implemented in awhile, although you can imagine how aggravated we all were when Ghost Wolf form messed us up.

if the druid of the flame before Staghelm is not killed (and Staghelm not dead, of course), the instance can be soft reset for infinite attempt.

Attempted this achieve today and it looks like pets also trigger the effect, so make sure to disable them before you go.

If you want the achievement without being submissive, you can also /lay or /sit and avoid damage. You can even sit on your Mushroom Chair!

Note: This also works for shapeshifts, so you can run up in travel form (probably ghostwolf too, but havent tested).

A nice trick for you to easily do this, if someone messes up you can have a person leave the instance and then change the difficulty, this will rest the trash and kick the raid to the front of the instance.

With the reset, the orbs reset. Summon the person back, and try again.

When i tried this last week , the raid was still on normal , but someone thaught he could do it on his mount still ( not obviously ) so the orb despawned. After that we just killed the pack , and then changed heroic , but for some reason we got ported to the begin of the instance ( cant remember why ) , and when we came back to him again , the flame orb was back again , but unfortunally someone failed again ><

This ach has nothing to do with the boss fight itself. (on 10 man) all you need do, is have 3 people run up either side of the courtyard you fight domo in, either /kneel'ing or hitting x to sit down whenever the adds cast Kneel to the Flame! once all 6 people are either side of the door, near the big flower thing, stand in the little swirly fire and all right click the 'flower' simultaneously.
If anybody is hit by kneel to the flame they will despawn. This can be soft reset.

- You all have to click and channel the orb at the same time.
- Failing to channel all at the same time will make the orb unclickable for the one who already clicked it.
- Make sure you are in clicking range because the range is very small.
- You will not be in combat with the three trash mobs after enabling the orbs.

How many people are needed in 10 man? i know it is 6 on 25 man,. but how many orbs would be there in 10 man and is it still 3 person per orb to click it?

We are having a huge problem here in getting this achievement,.. always someone or the other keeps getting hit every week regardless of some stupid reasons. I am fed up now. Just need that achievement to get the mount and the RL gets pissed off if we fail 2 or 3 times in a row and need to reset the instance and always someone or the other goes afk after balaroc kill.

So reset is not a option. I am planning to put in a raid grp for 10 man and get in people who know what they are doing after our balroc kill and get this stupid-easy achievement. So it would be great if I know how many orns and how many needed for 10 man to click it.

Can someone clarify what needs to be clicked? The only orbs I could see (10man) were just in front of the human caster, however clicking them caused cat druids to come out, no achievement.

The orb must be channeled by all 6 people for about 5 seconds or so. So make sure all 6 click it right after a Kneel to the Flame! explosion cast.

Additional trick: Rogue distract can buy you around 8 seconds to run up.

Have your other 5 members mount up (crusader helps); rogue distracts the caster right after he finished a cast of kneel to the flame; members run up and sit immediately, wait through a cast, then click right after he finishes, profit.

Everything you need to know about this achievement.

You need 2 people (1 on each side)
You can use /sit /kneel /lie /sleep or just press your sit button (Default is X)
You must not be shapeshifted
You must not be in bear/cat/wolf form
You must not have any companions/pets/minions/elementals out
You must not have any gear equipped that causes anything to spawn (eg. Gurthalak, Voice of the Deeps)
It takes a few seconds to activate the flames so I suggest you call out on voice comms when to do it, wait until a cast is finished then click the orbs at the same time.
If one person gets hit it fails the achieve.
It is required for Glory of the Firelands Raider
Failing this achievement awards -50 dkp.

As of patch 4.3, if you fail this achievement you can easily reset it and retry by just getting all your raid to leave the instance and the raid leader using the "Reset all instances" feature on his portrait. No need to change difficulties and no harder limitation than the ~~5-instances-per-hour~~ 10-instances-per-hour* rule.

* Since 5.4 the cap has been raised to 10.

So, I found this out last night, You can set it to heroic, and if you still fail, you can get six people together and do it on 25 man, and do it 25 man heroic too. Each one will reset so you can try this four times every week. Very useful, not much on it about resets, hard of soft from what i found.

This achievement is really, really simple but incredibly easy to screw up. On top of being very finicky, it also seems to be buggy and some things will prevent credit from being granted. I've outlined the known things that can prevent credit below as have some other posts. In theory if people mess up you can reset it but the last couple times I've been in raids in that circumstances, we've had trouble getting the orbs to reset, so I don't know if it's been changed so you can't make them respawn, or if that is just more of that aforementioned finickiness.

So, start-to-finish instructions:

Introducing Majordomo Fandral Staghelm & Friends

Druid chain casts something called Kneel To The Flame. When the cast time finishes (it is several seconds long), he does an AoE explosion that hurts everyone in his room who is standing. The way to avoid damage -- and earn the achievement -- is either be sitting or kneeling when the cast finishes.

Split the most reliable of your raid into two teams of three (it is six people regardless of raid size), one group going for the left orb the other group going for the right. The remaining people will wait by the portal where it is "safe." Make sure you have sit keybound (default is "X") or a /sit macro prepared in advance.

Things That Can Bug The Achievement
• Combat pets, included ones summoned by items - dismiss them. Vanity pets are okay.
• Shapeshifts and forms - Druids be in their race's form. Shaman do not use ghost wolf. Take off the Murloc suit. No Furbolgs invited.
• Do not be mounted.
• Do not use invulnerability abilities through the casts. Just sit down.

Run while he is casting, then when his cast is about half to 3/4 finished, sit down and wait until the AoE goes out, then repeat. Play it safe and sit early. I cannot stress this enough. There is no rush to get there. BTW, there may be a graphical delay on sitting, but if you've hit "X" and visually your character is in the process of sitting, it should still count.

You can use a /sit or /kneel macro, or you can just hit 'X' (which is the default keybind if you haven't rebound it). If you take damage, you've failed. Any individual fail the whole raid.

In front of each orb are three swirlie orange things. When each person arrives in front of the orb, they should sit on one while they wait for the others. Strictly speaking, you do not HAVE to be sitting on these, but they are a good indicator that everyone is in place and close enough to get that magical golden cog without having to adjust positioning when the time comes.

Once everyone is sitting on the little orange swirlie seats in front of the orb, have everyone hover their cursor over the orb while someone counts down a pre-determined number of casts, preferably on voice chat. I recommend setting a number ("Click in three more casts... 3... 2... 1") rather than just calling for it, due to voice chat delays. As soon as the agreed number of casts FINISH, all six people will all single click the orb simultaneously. If anyone accidentally starts early or misses the click, you can't cancel your channels and try again. That's it. You're done.

More Things That Can Bug The Achievement
• Do not click the orb more than once. Break your double-click habit.
• Clicking too much earlier or later than everyone else.
• Do not waste time standing, then clicking. Just click from sitting and auto-stand.
• Do not cancel the channel
• JUST STAND STILL DONT MOVE OKAY

Your click will start a channeled spell to the orb. At this point, if everyone did it right, achievement credit will be given and the orbs will despawn. If you messed up, the orbs will despawn without credit and you can all leave the instance and reset it and try again, but no promises the orbs will be back. Even if the orbs are back, remember you're still bound by the instance limitation.
