Only 30? for this new one? Getting 5 more is extremely easy since cata, personally i think this should be changed to 50 tabards.

After cataclysm they added 6 new tabards from each city and 6 new tabards from the new cataclysm factions. What was blizzard thinking when they added this achievement as max :( Should at least be 35!

EDIT: As Lizardon said, the 5 home factions tabards was available in wotlk too. So they added 7 new. Still 30 is way to easy obtainable.

EDIT: With the MoP and WoD out, still no update on new tabard achievement. Disappointed

Decided to have a look through my tabards after noticing this achievement and even though I'm not really much of a collector they do really seem to add up in a hurry. Currently in my banks/bags I have:

So that's 17 before vendor checking and none of those are exalted rare. Assuming it still works I can dump the purple illidari tabard and the tabard npc will replace it as the green version so that's 18. I then had a look through the vendors and came up with:

11 Burning Crusade Tabards (Aldor, Cenarion, Consortium, HH, Keepers, Kurenai, Lower City, Ogri'la, Sha'tar, Shattered Sun, Skyguard)

I'd say a 50 tabard achievement might be aiming a bit high since it's not fair to assume people have the discontinued ones, "real world money" ones or gladiator ones which since a small % get each season but a 40 tabard or MAYBE at a push a 45 achievement would be more interesting/challenging.

I was honestly hoping for the threshold to be made much higher, generally the jump from one xpac to another sees these kinds of achievements on average doubled in terms of requirements, the mount one for example going from tbc to wotlk. Looking in my bank I have 44 tabards right now, not even having AD, competitors since I'm a DK, or any arena season tabards. Though to be honest I do have some rare and hard to get tabards like AB, Shadowmourn chest and some tcg ones but 30 just seems far too easy to get especially with the overhaul to the tabard system that was implemented a long time ago.
On the bright side guess I'll have 45 come patch day, assuming its another tabard reward.

most likely the 30 tabard achievement will override the old 25 tabards achiev
and you will get the achiever tabard at 30

You can obtain both of ilidari tabards. Just destroy the one you have and obtain the other from Tabard vendor. Both count toward the achievement.

- If blizzard releases new tabards (this is updated for 4.1 there are currently 87 elligible tabards for the achievement) you can change the 87 manually to a higher number to reflect the right amount of tabards. so 1,88 ; 1,89 ; etc.

-- If you never want to updated this macro again, change the 1,87 to a number higher than the current ingame tabards (say 1,999) the only problem with this is you will get an LUA error, and LUA errors make babies cry!:(

I did my Twenty-Five Tabards today and finisehd with 27 tabards...i lost one (selled/drestoyed), but i just wn cause i remeber that i have to equip and not just have it on my inventory/bank. xD

Wouldn't it be great if they gave a tabard as an award for getting every "purchasable" tabard in the game, that would allow you to change the "award" tabard to any tabard you have ever equiped or equip in the future? This would save so much bank space and allow you to still be able to show off your cool tabards.

After reviewing the comments (and some friends had questions) I will make a more updated and informational list. I have placed the complimentary tabards in the same order (i.e. SW vs Org) to help with organization. This list includes over 70 unique tabards that all count for tabard achievements. (This is not double counting faction only tabards as they interchange when you are switching factions.) This is something that I plan to be updating so any gathered information will be helpful. **EDIT: As the tabard achievement hasn't been updated beyond 40, this list is more than enough for anyone to get the final level of the tabard achievement series. Unless they increase the max amount needed (or there are requests), there will be no more updates to this list.**

There are 7 faction tabards: (these all cost 10 silver)
Alliance - Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, Gnomeregan, Exodar, Gilneas and Tushui

Horde - Orgrimmar, Darkspear, Undercity, Thunder Bluff, Silvermoon City, Bilgewater Cartel and Houjin

There are 3 guild tabards:
Guild Tabard - 1 gold
Illustrious Guild - 125 gold and friendly with guild (this is BoA, and can be used at anytime after purchase)
Renowned Guild - 250 gold and honored with guild (BoA, can be used at anytime after purchase)
