Will reward the scorpion mount, which the guild master must buy at guild level 25 for a little sum of 1000gold.

In order for the other guilders to get it, they must also hit exalted with the guild.
But just reaching guild level 25 in itself is going to be a long haul.

A guild is able to level up to level 25. Advancement in levels is done in a manner similar to player characters: a variety of tasks lead to earning XP which counts toward advancing to the next level.

The daily cap on guild XP is 6,246,000 xp ie: 6.246 million xp. Points granted from Achievements do not count towards the Cap. So if you are capped for the day you can still earn XP for the guild by doing achievements.

The total XP required for a guild to level from 1 to 25 is 845,670,000 - which translates to 136 days assuming the cap is reached on a daily basis.

Do you guys know if you need exalted reputation with your guild to purchase the mount, or you only need to be in the guild?

If you are farming guild experience for getting guild level 25 the following is worth noting:

Some dungeon bosses are bugged and give incorrect guild experience: (Note, these may be fixed at a later point, if you read this in a long while it might not work anymore)

High Prophet Barim in the Lost City of the Tol'vir gives double reputation and experience
Baron Silverlaine in Shadowfang Keep can give anything from double to quintuple (x5) reputation and experience, depending on which worgen adds you get.
High Priestess Azil in The Stonecore does NOT give any reputation or experience.
Only the first boss in Throne of the Tides gives experience, none of the others.
The Omnotron Defence System gives quadruple (x4) reputation and experience.
Valiona & Theralion gives double reputation and experience.
Conclave of Wind gives triple reputation and experience.
