Feats of Strength achievements aren't meant to be achievable anymore... Are the warglaives being removed?

ALL of the Feats of Strength will be no longer attainable in Wrath of the Lich King. They are meant for players who have done something worth noting in WoW and TBC.

Still cant belive they only have a 4% drop chance.... cant imagine running all of BT, for noone to get a warglaive

I got a glaive after 3.0.2 hit, they might have stopped dropping since 3.0.3, but as far as i know, they still drop.

This achievement really isnt a feat of strength...

After 3.0 SO many guilds downed illidan it wasnt funny...

For example:
Pkpkgankyounow on Dalvengyr-US.
Guild leaders brother is a complete noob, he had the MH warglaive and a merciless glad Sword OH >.<
Laughing stock of the server for months lawl.

SW:P 6.5 rogue set + the set of glaives is GODLY DPS. Just wish we could all of stayed on 2.4.3. :(

So Im a pally and cannot equip these. Can i still get the achievement for having them?

Technically you should be able to optain this achiement no matter which class you are, since the achievement say 'Owner of a set of Warglaive of Azzinoth' so even if they are in your bag, you are still the owner

Post Patch 3.2, it's been confirmed by the Blue that for those who can not equip the Legendary items, we can not get the associated Feats of Strength Achievements. Per Blue Dev, the change was made "due to the new instance item trading feature" implemented in Patch 3.2.

I can confirm this, as I acquired Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury for my Death Knight a day after the implementation of Patch 3.2, but I did not get the Feat of Strength Achievement.

So for the aspiring players trying to get the FoS associated with BC legendaries, I say don't waste your time if you can't equip them!

This is so unfair. This weapons should be a hunter weapon too, not only rouge & warrior.

This blades are so cool, think about a hunter wielding them! AWESOME!

Blizzard maked a HUGE mistake about this blades

Do you actually have to loot warglaive from Illidan in order to get a FoS? Or you can buy from someone who win the roll, equip and still get the achievement?

Answering my own question. You CAN get achivement even if you were not the first person to loot it. I had to pay 5k gold to a guy who won it so that he let me equip it and give it back to him.

As of 4.0.3a, Death Knights can now wield the Warglaives, and thus acquire this Feat of Strength legitimately.

The tank in my guild has seen the main hand drop 4x as of today, and he has it, and has yet to see the offhand drop to get the legendary. *raises fist at RNG

It was just Murphy's law. I farmed my ass off with my dk to get either of ones. No luck yet.
I just discovered few days ago "Hey, my Medalion of Karabor isnt completed yet, lets kill Illidan for it"
So i did with my warlock - and the offhand dropped.
So meh, RNG is RNG.

In the in Patch 4.3 introduced 5 player Heroic dungeon Well of Eternity, players team up with Illidan Stormrage, before he became (completely) corrupted.

Players that have a set of Warglaives in their bag while doing this dungeon will have Illidan Stormrage "whisper" them after the first boss is defeated, saying:

"Curious weapons you wield... such power."
"You seem prepared."

Obviously referencing his future weapons, as well as a joke for his famous quote "You are not prepared!" which is what he yells before he engages you in The Black Temple, as well as in the Burning Crusade trailer.
