To earn this achievement, you need to man a siege vehicle and destroy an enemy tower. Anything that does "siege damage" can be used, including Siege Tanks, Catapults, and Goblin Thermal Sapper Charges.

I can't seem to get this achievement no matter what I try. I have attacked the 2 towers on the outside of the base when on offense on several occasions and I've even just completed the quest Toppling The Towers while on defense and I still haven't received credit for this achievement. What am I doing wrong?

Has anyone else had problems getting this?

Just to clarify, this achievement is for destroying one of the three southern towers, the keep towers do not give credit for this achievement.

You don't have to actually man any siege equipment or attack any towers yourself to get this. I got the achievement just from running around in treeform healing everyone in sight as we breached the walls. Someone apparently destroyed a tower, and I got the credit too without actually contributing any damage.

In case anyone didn't pick up on the reference in the title, it presumably refers to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Ironically, the real world tower has been leaning for over 800 years without actually falling over. I guess this achievement has you finish the job.

I'm not entirely sure, but this might be bugged.

I was in the gunner seat of a siege engine that took down a tower but didn't get the achievement.

On 10/08/09 I was in gunner chair for siege engine, shot the Flamewatch Tower seven to eight times with the gun, it went down and no achievement. Anyone know any hidden requirements for this achievement? Is there a range issue? Because we were at max cannon range for it at the time.

Hmm it seems this achievement is a little bit odd, the same things has happened to me about being right next to one, blasting one to hell and completing the quest. : /

When it reached completion in the year 1350, the Leaning Tower of Pisa had a full 7 inch incline. Now this was made worse when the bells were added on the top. The structure began to tilt some more. There came a time in the 20th century when the incline became so severe an issue that it reached a 17 feet incline. When this happened, restoration work began on the site. Engineers were rushed to the site and they began by removing soil from under the north side, since the incline was to the south. They tried their best to even out the differences. During this period, the tower was closed for visitors.

Thanks to a lot of combinations that were tried out – counterweights, slings, excavated soil – the Leaning Tower of Pisa was stabilized. It reopened for tourists in 2001.
