It's good to see that this Master of... achieve awards a tabard. I'd hope Blizz would add tabards to all BG meta achievements but that most likely won't happen.

As I see it this one rewards a tabard because it's not part of the Battlemaster meta achievement.

As someone aiming for this achievement (and loving this new battleground), I must say, the two hardest achievements towards the meta would be Mine and Cut the Blue Wire... No the Red Wire!

The first, requires your team to control everything (except your own base, the Horde can be attacking or assaulting it), and on top of that, kill the Horde leader before the Horde can manage to do so to your own. I was in a battleground where we had gotten all five places but I did not realize the Horde had already barged their way fully into our base. As excited as I had become, and knowing we'd already made one failed attempt on their boss, I thought we were about to succeed. Low and behold, a Horde assaulted one of the places and then suddenly they killed our leader. Game over.

On the other hand, there is the other achievement I mentioned, Cut the Blue Wire.... No the Red Wire! This one, being one I have not yet fully attempted, requires you to disarm 25 bombs. The problem with this, is that the bomb is only available on the ground for a minimul period of time and to be able to get a full disarm cast on it can be difficult, as the enemy could very easily interrupt you. Luckily enough, this is not required to be done in one battle, so I can see someone managing to pull it off over time!

Good luck with this achievement and grats to everyone who has worked hard for it! Isle of Conquest is a very fun battleground and definitely a great addition to the game.

Well, Mine is pretty easy actually, again... anything can be done with some organization. I've had normal games where people waited to kill the boss until Refinery was capped. In that sense, it all just boils down to PvP (kills) unlike other things such as Disarming bombs, planting them and driving vehicles.

I'm still working on 100 wins and Bomb disarming, luckily we're only required 25 instead of 50, not many people realize that Bombs do more damage than both a Demolisher's Ram & Shoot combined twice.

For a good tactic i have used is to either:

1. Fall from the nearby turret tower and kill yourself next to the gate they're likely to attack (usually the western one) release and wait as a ghost next to your corpse, then simply wait for an enemy to come, drop a bomb, walk away a few steps then hit the res button and disarm it.

2. Wait ontop of a nearby turret tower, when an enemy goes and drops a bomb jump down and disarm it. Although this one works better if you're an engineer with the flexweave underlay because you can land right ontop of the bomb rather than falling + taking damage + having to run some distance.

Otherwise you could just charge in and hope to disarm before you get interupted! This works better as a class that can CC, peronally i swapped to my protection offspec as concussion blow easily gives you enough time to disarm a bomb should the enemy happen to spot you res/drop in behind them.

Using these tricks i got about 2-4 disarms per game, although i got 7 in one game thanks to a blood elf who didnt even bother attacking me even when i just stood there disarming all his bombs! :P

I wiped the blood off my trusty sword and opened the letter. I read the following:

A feeling of satisfaction rose from the inside. Halford himself gave me the token of his appreciation, that badass Halford who can kill ten orcs at once by jumping and dispatch even more if he is just too far away from his beloved table. But then I recalled what exactly you have to do to get this... and Halford became a bit less of a badass.

- Kill thousands of Garrosh's minions. When you're in those attrition matches, sometimes you just want to get yourself farmed, so it just will end right now.

- Disarm a handful of bombs under suppressing fire. Often under HEAVY suppressing fire. Or just stand outside your gates and cheerfully look at those hordies who plant their explosives right under the gates. When your gate is at 2%, you have to defend no matter what. Plant a lot of bombs and make the suppressing fire. Especially when 4 of them are disarming that single bomb and the gates are at 2%.

- Show finesse with glaive thrower mowing down enemy ranks. Show finesse when shooting at the gates from that overlook near Refinery. Show finesse when defending the glaive throwers (you would be surprised to see how many players don't dispel the rogue poisons and death knight diseases from them). Show extreme finesse when running through the swarm of enemies to the enemy glaive thrower destroying your gates by second. Glaives and finesse are always near each other. Period.

- Man the main turret of the siege engine and hope the driver is good. Now you're the god of war, the avatar of doom, the almighty justicar... NNNNOOOOOO, why did they break the siege engine SO FAST!

- Fly to the top of the enemy keep and play a sniper. If you're a warlock, that's the greatest retreat spot if it's getting hot down there. If you're a warrior... well, you have a thrown weapon after all!

- Cap the Workshop at the last second so the Horde will not get that Siege Engine. Quietly cap the quarry and the refinery, so you'll actually win that 50 minutes attrition war. Cap the refinery so glaive throwers and demolishers will recieve their buff right before attacking the gates. And for sake of all that is holy cast Hand of Protection on that hunter who's capping our base when we just started to farm them on our graveyard.

- Analyze the enemy before the start. 5 ferals, 8 rogues? Forget about glaive throwers, we're coming from above! 10-15 healers? Gentlemen, that's a premade, a really dark side of the Isle of Conquest. If you leave the battleground, the debuff will expire faster than you'll see 0-295 in the end.
