You have to complete the first two quests (and pick up this quest) in order to find the kitten to tame her.

I just picked up this kitty today at Pajamaz13's location (38'53) without having to do any prequests. This may change but as of today the kitty is just sitting there waiting for eager hunters! Happy Hunting!

Oh dear, that poor kitty. In any case, this used to be Winna's Kitten-- a very tiny one, pre-Shattering. Was doing my best Indiana Jones impression today when I found the new-and-improved Winna's Kitten just hanging around my dig site. It's huge and glowing and green and probably a nice Hunter tame.

Tamed it and it doesn't require Beast Mastery to have it, which is a plus.

This quest has you kill the cat that horde players pre cataclysm put in a corrupted moonwell for the quest Corrupted Sabers given by Winna Hazzard and when you turn in the quest the cat runs away.

As of patch 4.2, she's tameable as a Beast Mastery Hunter. After you tame her, she re-spawns quickly. Kill her and get the ear ring.

She's right at 38, 53.

Description

[Mr. Tauren here's told me a lot about what happened at Bloodvenom Post. He says Winna Hazzard is still there!

She's pretty far gone, but what's left of her is making a bunch of new slime. We've got to stop it!

Luckily, I have a plan. Mr. Tauren said Winna used to have a kitten. She fed it corrupted slime water and it ran off into the woods. I saw something lurking to the southeast just past the Bloodvenom Tower, but it sure was bigger than a kitten! Go see if the kitty has a tag...]
