I had an issue with this quest where after getting off the seahorse the quest was not listed as complete. For whatever reason I had not tripped the flag at the Forward Post for the NPC announce they had been attacked. If this happens to you, swim back to where you got the quest and mount the seahorse again. The flag tripped just fine on my second try.

Ok so what happens if it didn't trip and you dropped the quest thinking you could go back....any suggestions my fellow Wow'rs?

Found out, Go back to where it last says (29,78 ) and take that darn quest again ! haha

(4.1) The Seahorse takes a stop at the place then takes off to Legion's Rest. Don't worry, after that use your Seahorse to go back to (40,54) and you'll complete the quest.

Think Blizz made a little copy pasta here:

On perd du terrain (Alliance version of this quest)

"Make your way back to the forward post on the level below us."

I'd hardly say that the Horde forward post is 'a level below' the questgiver, yet the Alliance one is roughly directly underneath. In truth, this whole area is far more convenient for the Alliance, but that's a separate issue.

PS: You can also just swim to the forward post, rather than taking the seahorse.

I mounted the horse, went AFK and when I returned I was quite surprised to find myself at Legion's Rest with the quest marker pointing to the forward post. :D
I rode my own seahorse back to the forward post, entered the building and then Captain Obvious announced they were attacked. Quest completed. Didn't need to take the NPC's horse again.
