Just to male it clear, this is the only 232 neck available without raiding for physical DPS, and It's the best 232 neck for ret paladins (and apparently cats). There is an alternative ToC 10 man loot for ally and horde, with some ArP, for classes that value it.

Still hoping to win a roll on this. It's a nice upgrade for a mutilate rogue from the 226 badge necklace. Us mutilate rogues don't really go for the armor penetration stat if we can avoid it.

On a MM hunter I currently have broach of wailing night equipped. According to the dps analyzer at femaledwarf.com, if I swapped it for the Barbed Ymirheim Choker my dps would drop by -3.89. Not sure if the same is true for other specs and/or classes but just because it's of a higher ilevel doesn't mean that it will necessarily be the best option dps wise. Only reason I'd grab this instead of wailing night would be to inflate my gearscore ;)
