If your playing horde side, the turkeys can be found all over Tirisfall Glades. I found that they tended to congregate around the middle of the map. I found quite a few around Stillwater Pond and the Graveyard but not nearly enough in a close enough area to complete the Turkinator achievement (@ 40 turkeys within 30 seconds).

Just in case some would like to farm these for alts they cannot be mailed, nor stored in banks but they CAN be traded to other players.

This is a very easy achivement you have 30 seconds to kill 40 turkeys yes it sounds hard but no - every time u kill a turkey the buff will refresh to 30 seconds every 10 turkey kills u get Turky "something" goldshire i found was easy to get it in i just ran back and forth and got it after about 5 minutes.

This item drops from Wild Turkey, which spawns all over Elwynn Forest and Tirisfal Glades during the Pilgrim's Bounty event. Apart from their meat being needed for cooking quests during the event, the turkeys themselves are needed for the Turkinator achievement.

This macro really helps, my friend Frostyburn on Borean Tundra-US made it.

Basically it targets the turkeys and marks them.

Got the achieve The Turkinator within 5min (non-hunter macro):

It works after you target your first turkey, then adds a red X. You'll see your target on the mini-map. 5min, promise ... don't worry about other players, unless they have the same macro.

I combined a previous macro with yours, and added startattack, so I just have to get near the turkey and will auto-swing to kill it.

Here's the macro I'm using:

These are awesome for levelling cooking. You continue to get cooking skillups for making slow roasted turkeys even though they show as grey! I have confirmed you can get up to 430 skill level even though they go grey at 355. Cooking slow roasted turkey continues to give 2 points for each turkey up to 405-with the exception of 1 point at 375 when you need to train- then 1 point per turkey up to 416 skill level. From there it is a point occasionally - every 1 to 10 turkeys - until you reach skill 430.

A great place to find lots of turkeys is venomweb vale, the circular area south of Scarlet Monastery. While this is nearby for Horde, Alliance can easily drop by there while doing Pilgrim's Peril for Undercity.

Definitely use a macro that targets and puts raid icons on the turkeys. I did a google search and used the "ultimate turkey macro", which was awesome. Using a macro is even better than tracker snacks or hunter's track beasts.
