Blizzard has a habit of putting FR and +fire damage together, which really makes no sense. Anything that does so much fire damage that you'd want to wear resist gear for is either immune to fire damage or highly resistant. /facepalm

Ignoring the fire bonus, the stats are still decent for any agi user... so it's not a total waste.

I have actually tested this necklace while on a PTR and noticed the fire damage increases by about 50% of your spell damage. I personally was getting 646 regular hits with it and 969 crits (untrinketed). This could possibly be a great item for casters in Arenas.

This was a great necklace that used to drop off old Kazzak in the blasted lands. I hated using this on my rogue because it would break gouge every time :(

There is no class specific on this so in my guild anyone could roll on it, stam=more hp for everybody, fire resist = good for everybody, and agi= good for warrior,hunter,rogue,pally,shaman, less good for priest, mage, warlock

That is why ppl roll on items because not everyone is gonna get but everyone really wants.

This thing no longer breaks gauge for rogues. Fixed in the 1.7 patch. Go ahead and bid rogues, though I'm sure these damn hunters who get 50% of every loot in the game will bid too, greedy bastards.

In cat form this adds a plain 2 DPS, because cat form attack speed is 1.00... sure, it's nice for rogues warriors and hunters (because of the agility, not the effect).

HOWEVER, rogues and warriors can use swords and daggers that have a chance on hit, or item sets that add dmg to the melee WEAPON!
But, in druid forms, WEAPON procs do not work, but MELEE HIT procs such as this one, work. And that's why I would want this for my druid, as well as the Darkmoon Card: Maelstorm - https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=40869/epaulières-du-gladiateur-furieux-en-écailles which I will have as soon as the farie comes back ><

Fiery Retributer and a few other proc effects are affected by +spelldmg, this could be too.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just realized they're unobtainable.

This is a very good item for melee dps classes (obviously), even though its only 2 damage, its 2 damage added to EVERY main hand hit. The speed of the weapon doesnt change the added damage so it would be alot better with fast weapons than slow weapons, since it procs EVERY hit. Over the course of whole raid run it can definetly add a few thousands of damage in itself to your DPS.

This Medallion, although the damage seems minimal, over time it will a lot alot of damage to ur dps especially on fast weapons since weapon speed doesnt change the amount added to each attack. Sadly although it procs on every hit, it wont proc on the offhand as ive noticed. Unfortunetly this medallion isnt available anymore. As another note, for anyone who has this medallion, and is a enhancement shaman, if ur dual wielding and using Windfury Weapon on the main hand, when WF procs the extra damage will triple proc causing 6 extra damage than the regular 2. Like i said b4 it may seem like nothing, but its perfect for raids since per raid ud do definetly more than 1000's of hits which equals thousands of damage thru the whole raid run

Many effects in WoW are affected by lag in various ways. Damage shields (such as a druid's thorns) is one example. If a druid with thorns tries to sleep a beast or dragonkin that's attacking him, the sleep will quite often be broken from the MOBs attacks. No, it doesn't make sense. Yes, I know if a mob is slept, it shouldn't be able to attack. But this is just how it works. It's the same with putting any kind of damage shield (thorns, imp fire buff, etc) on a sapping rogue, a sheeping mage, etc.

I imagine it's the same problem for a rogue trying to gouge. The gouge effect goes off, then the damage is applied (either by design or by lag). The result is a broken gouge.

That said, I can see this being really useful in the hands of a DW fury warrior, a rogue, or (gasp) a feral druid assuming the 1.8 patch eventually comes out and makes the feral tree decent :) Cat attacks have a delay of 1 second, for those that don't know. That's pretty darn fast.

This is awesome for a a warrior guys come on....Agility for a warrior mean's he is going to crit more, it doesn't increase your attack speed on a warrior, the agility helps us dodge as well, and the stamina and fire resistance are a "no duh". The extra dmg that the fire brings to us helps generate more rage. I have this on my wish list for sure.

I think this is best for a hunter (rogue is close second) as bows like hurricane with a scope and an extra 2 fire damage for each attack. Plus the agil/stamina is always a nice thing. Dunno why a warrior would want unless they are dual wielding fast weapons....

It's obviously designed for a rogue.. but..

The 2 dmg is added after the hit is done. So you Gouge, which stuns the mob, then you instantly do the 2 dmg, breaking the stun. Which means dagger rogues can never backstab when soloing, dueling, or pvping.

Trust me on this, we got a rogue in my guild with it. It needs to be fixed, cause atm only like a SS rogue has any benefit from it.

A bit more usefull for a Rogue considering a rogue (hitting twice as fast) will use the +2 fire damage more. That and the agi stat.

who cares? if you want an extra bit of damage then fine, get it. I'm a Crit warrior and I think this would be fine for me... if it had str instead of stamina or the fire protect, then it'd be perfect. but I'm not complaining, I'd still love that Agility.

extra damage is always good. I beleive a rogue can still use since it adds damage to your attack and not adding a DoT, so it shouldn't break a Sap.

Who gives a rats ass about those 2 extra fire damage. The most important feature of this is naturally the stats and resistances.

I'm a warrior... I tank for a living.. I'd die for stats like this so don't come and say that it isn't for a warrior. The only reason I could think of someone would argue for this is simply to have an excuse not for a warrior to roll on that item.

<---SS rogue with the new fist weapon set and that ammy would be freakin awesome I'd respec my combat build to get 5% crit fro fist weapons. two weapons with 1.5 speed and 2 fire damage per tick is nice to add. that and with that ammy I can have over 130 fire resist as a rogue easy. great for MC and onyxia

It -does- break gouge, I have one, and it only sees PvE use currently. I'm pretty sure the breaking of gouge was unintended and therefore this item should be considered bugged at the moment. Gouge does a slight bit of damage when applied, and is considered a melee attack. For some reason the +2 fire damage is applied right after the gouge, there by harming the target and breaking the gouge. I guess they need to apply the same fix to this that they applied to the stormshroud lightning damage, I think in that case gouge ignores the stormshroud set lightning proc.

I was thinking rogue actually. Figure a tank would want something defensive as the passive. No str either. (not that I'm saying it's a bad choice and they shouldn't be 'allowed' to get it or anything :).

I got this off Lord Kazzak not realising it broke gouge so I was pretty annoyed at being a gimped rogue for a while but I now use it in PvE to give an extra little damage to my attacks. PvP I just use an Onyxia Tooth Pendant.

The equip bonus works on melee attacks even in feral forms as a Druid. After every successful auto attack, you will hit your target for 2 fire damage (3 if it crits). The target can resist or be immune to the fire damage just like a spell. And unfortunately the fire damage from this necklace does not benefit from spellpower.

This is best neck for Retry by P5 AQ and Naxx content when no bosses R immune to fire. In MC and BWL U have to swap it with Gantelets tempêteson fire immune bosses.
