The drop rates are artificially low because it includes people killing slimes who are not on the quest. When I did the quest the drop rate was 100%.

Make sure you turn in all your samples before you complete the quest. Once the quest is completed, you can no longer use the testing equipment, and will have to discard the samples.

You use this on the bench in the Apothecary of the Undercity to get Corrupt Tested Sample, which, according to wowhead, has a ~27% chance to contain the Corrupted Felwood Sample that you need. So in order to get 5 of them, you should probably bring at least 20. More if you have bad luck like I do =)

When u get the 5 samples of slime from them and turn them into the chemist it does. 7350 xp as of patch 2.3 and 250 rep with undercity.

In my experience this quest took exactly 16 samples to make 5 corrupt samples.

Farmed 40 of them to make sure, I needed 7...

I farmed 20, but only got 2 out of that stack :(

There's 2 location great for farming these.

First location: 40 55 in felwood, small puddle of water.
Second location: 41 66 larger body of water.
Third locatin: 40 71 larger body of water.

Seems to be anywhere between 9-15 slimes at these locations.
