Confirmed this morning (12/10/10) that Blizz has implemented a hotfix to grant the achieve. The achieve still shows 160 quests required in the text, but I was awarded the achieve with only 146 quests completed.

He is right, I had 144 when I logged last night (12/09/10) and this morning I have the achievement and it shows I finished 160/160 as of yesterday. I am assuming they fixed a lot of the quests for the naga area as those seemed to be the ones Blizz was having the most bugs reported on. Glad they fixed it and grats to those to got the achievement finally.

Ya I had 139 completed as of last night found two quest dropped from mobs did one which put me at 140 and it gave me the ach for only doing 140 quest.

i started this on horde, and got up to i think 128 quests or so and it was glitched when i did it so i gave up. then i factioned and it said 68/160 but reading comments i knew that means 68/140 so i started doing the quests on ally side. im now 135/160 and have done all the item drop quests... i cant find the last group of 5 quests that i need. pls help suggest a commenly missed quest chain

Apparently this was hotfixed. I had 142/160 completed quests when I left Vash'jir a couple days ago. I haven't been back since, and just today I noticed I have 160/160. There was a server reset since I last quested there, that might have done it too.

I did get all "this item begins a quest".
Manage whole Kelp'thar Forrest, Shimmering Expance, Abbysal Deapths. Can't get into Vashj'ir for some reason, which means i did miss something and God only knows what it is.
Run through whole area like a maniac, can't find anything. Any ideas?

I can't do it. I've stopped at 107 (I'm a horde) and that's it. did all areas except for vashjirs ruins. Cant get quests there. Obviously I've missed something, don't know what and where. All drop items quests are done. Went through whole area few times and can't find anything.
Have any of you guys any guess what is it that I possible have missed? Thank you in advance.

Something got hotfixed though it isn't represented in the tooltip just yet. I'm still working through some quest lines and just got the achievement when I completed my 140th quest. This is Alliance side.

I can confirm this. I returned to the zone on Sunday 12th December with 138/160 on achievement tracker. I took the fp back to the Seafarer's Tomb when I spotted a quest giver I had overlooked i.e. the NPC named Budd. I proceeded to do the quest chain and got the achievement after finishing the quest to kill Gnaw, which puts my total completed quest at 140.

I'm stuck at 120/160 I feel as if I'm missing a quest line because a friend of mine got the achieve at 137/160. I've explored everything I can think of, and I'm sure I've done all the dropped quests. So I don't have any idea where to go now : ( Anyone know of any small quest lines that are hard to find or anything?

Le crabe aux pinces dort

I found it on my Shaman when I was stuck on my Warrior, and now I have the achieve. This quest is disconnected from all other quests in Vashj'Ir.

I also missed a single quest in the cave at "Gnaw's Boneyard" which lead to the rest of the ones I got for my achieve.

I got stuck at 139 with no achievement. I went back to Kelp'thar Forest and discovered I had missed these two, which both start from dropped items:

Confirmed still bugged as of today, Had 146 quests done, went back to Kelp'thar to pick up Oh the insanity, Lady La-La's medallion and a couple of others, handed in one q and 'ding!' - achievement got. 160 of 160!

Very odd. I'm Alliance, was at 138/160 for this ach. I'd missed 3 kills- Giblingle for his treasure, a gilblin for the amulet, and then I killed the wandering giant Gnash and got his head for a third.

So I completed the amulet and treasure quest, and got this ach, it went from 139 to 160.

So I was thinking about going back here after I dinged 85 to quest for the achievement, done 30/160 but for some reason I can't find any quests. Anything obvious I might have missed?

I was stuck on this achievement around 119 quests, unable to find any more. After lots of searching, I found I had missed Engineer Hexascrub, who had a quest that went off on a chain that led me to completing both this achievement and the Visions of Vashj'ir Past achievement.

I cant follow up on your response (im Horde) but i can give you some tips in your search for answers:

be more specific - Horde or Alliance?
what was your last location - questgiver / cave

I guess you're Alliance by the number of quests you mentioned (160). Note that the number now needed is 140, as stated in some earlier posts.

Blizzard hot-fixed the number needed for the achievement but only (ofc) server-side. Client side (the number you see) will be updated with an upcoming patch.

Yes, I'm completely stuck at 126 and it's driving me up a freakin' wall! I have gone all over this zone several times, killed all sorts of mobs, and I cannot seem to find the last 14 or so quests I need to complete this achievement.

I've gone on to all the other zones and completed all other achievements with no problem whatsoever, so I can't really understand what I'm missing here! Someone help please!

Of course, as soon as I posted this, I was able to find Wavespeaker Valoren at around (42,75) to start the second "Vision" quest. That lead to a few others, and VOILA I got the achievement.

I'll add in any other quests I come across.

This is a short list of some of the dropped quests/kill activated quests/non-hub quests in the VERY beginning of Vashj'ir, You should be able to get to all of these fairly quickly.

"Gilblin Collector", "An Opened Can of Whoop Gnash", "Blackfin's Booty", "Once More, With Eeling", "Kliklak's Craw", "The Horde's Hoard", "A Case of Crabs".

This list is for Shimmering Expanse, the second zone you go to in Vashj'ir.

"A Pearl of Wisdom"

"Claim Korthun's End", "Enormous Eel Egg", "Prisoners"

Today I found a quest for Vahj'ir... i have since a long time ago 139/140 and didn't know where to find my last one... until i killed a giant elite that wanders in Kelp'thar forest: Gnash.

He droped me his head (this item begins a quest). The quest was :

An Opened Can of Whoop Gnash (just turning in the head to Captain Samir, in Smuggler's Hole)

I though that this quest would be my last one to get the achievement.. but it didn't count for the total when i completed it!

OK, finally I got it (after submitting a ticket to a GM).

GM explained to me that Gnash quests is bugged and does not count towards the total. in it's place I ahd to kill Sabreclaw Skitterers (non agro crabs) until they drop Crumpled Treasure Map (this item begins a quest).

The quest is called "Kliklak's Craw" and once accepted, you have to kill Kilklak to get a key. To complete the quest you have to open a buried chest.

And voilà... now I finally completed Vashj'ir quests achievement + Loremaster Cataclysm.

Faction changes can cause issues with this achievement. I had previously done all or most of the quests in Kelp'thar Forest and Shimmering Expanse as Horde, then did a faction change. This reset most of the quests, but not many of the ones associated with the Visions of Vashj'ir Past quest line. This meant I couldn't pick up A Powerful Need To Eat because I could not get Wavespeaker Valoren to appear in Shimmering Expanse due to phasing issues. A GM tried teleporting me around to Valoren's various locations to see if I was able to pick up the quest, but it didn't work so he/she just had me log off and gave me A Powerful Need To Eat, explaining that Blizzard was aware of an issue with phasing and faction changes. As I was at 137/140, A Powerful Need to Eat, Clamming Up, Art of Attraction and Odor Coater were enough to get me the achievement, though I couldn't turn in Bellies Await because Valoren was still out of phase.

so I decided to go back and finally finish all the cata zones i left vashjir at 52/140 and i have no idea where to pick back up with the quests. ive researched it for days even swam all over the zone with no luck. any ideas where i might have missed something
