1.- Escribe /tar Smoot , así lo fijas como objetivo
2.- Sube con tu mascota voladora alto y espera, lo verás corriendo en algún momento, al tenerlo como objetivo sale un circulo (en mi caso verde) debajo.

Easy tip for catching once found, go into the settings and bind a key to "interact target" (cant do with macros at the moment I believe), simply get close and spam key, did quest easy, works for all quests where clicking the target is a challenge (or when a mammoth is on top of the target)

For those of you new to WoW, goblins fooling around with samophlanges have a long and memorable history, including one of the first outdoor escort quests a low-level player would encounter.

Smoot is, almost certainly, an indicator that one(!) of the game designers at Blizzard is an MIT alumnus. The fact that one "stiff-arms Smoot and knocks him to the ground" may be a subtle reference as well. For more on the Smoot as a unit of measure I suggest this reference.

Found him around coords: 55.9, 48.7, you'll see him running around like a maniac waving his hand around running up and down the path, I didn't need to do all that macro stuff.

The best way to find this little critter is to use the /target smoot
i then used Shadow Jade Focusing Gem to track him . was verry usefull. even though you track him its hard to find him because he runs perty fast and he is soo small.

And BTW FYI,if you tackle him while mounted,you won't get the samophlange to drop,you'll have to do it again.

when you capture him. there is a thing on the ground that u click to get the samophlange.

I tasked Smoot with creating one based on some stolen Venture Company schematics, and he's finally built a working model.

Now that he's got his samophlange, he's drunk with power. He's running all over town with it like a goblin possessed.
