Nadando (mejor dicho buceando) en los canales de Ventormenta. Los cangrejos son alimañas vivas, te los puedes encontrar correteando, cuando pases el ratón por encima de ellos aparecerá un icono de bolsa/despojar para cogerlos.

La mecánica de la misión es muy sencilla, lo complicado es conseguir los 10 x Cangrejo de canal cuando hay mucha gente haciendo la misión al mismo tiempo.

Con un solo clic te selecciona un cangrejo cercano, emite un sonido si hay alguno cerca y le coloca una calavera para poder ver donde esta fácilmente.

Hola, es verdad se encuentra facil en los canales de Ventormenta.
normalmente de dos x dos casi siempre debajo de los pescadores en los canales.

All you need to do is swim along the bottom of the canals in stormwind, and right click the crab when you're next to them.

I actually received two awards from turning this in, not sure if that was a display error or intended.

I recommend setting the 'Ground Clutter' to LOW in the Video options while doing this quest. It makes spotting the crabs a lot easier

To find Canal Crabs, swim through the canals. You're actually looking for wandering beasts for this quest, fishing will not get you there! Note that hunters are able to track beasts, so that the crabs will be shown on their minimap!

The Quest awards 1 cooking skill and 2 Chef's Award.

Best way for me to do it:

Potion of water walking and Ctrl + V to see the crabs from the top of the water. You can also mount if you don't see any nearby.

Only took 3 minutes - respawn was rather quick.

One quick way to find Crabs easily is to create a simple macro: "/target Canal Crab". Put it in your bar an spam it. If it finds a target, a crab is somewhere near you. It helped me a lot.

Collecting the crabs can proc Lightweave on your cloak for some reason.

Like one of the above comments said, the easiest way to go about this is a /tar macro.

/target Canal Crab
/script SetRaidTargetIcon("target", 8)

This will mark the crab with a raid target so even if it's out of your sight, in the grass, under one of the many pieces of debris, etc you'll still be able to see it.

Replace the "8" with any number from 1-8 for the raid icon of your choice.

Until flying is available, the quickest way to travel through the canals is using a mammoth (any type). They will move at mounted speed whereas any other smaller-sized ground mounts are forced to move at swim speed.

Do you have a source for this. I tried it and it seemed no different in swim speed of my Travelers Tundra Mammoth over the Armored Brown Bear in water.

to make it easier to find/see the crabs - hit your V key. that will put the bar above their head. makes them visible from far away (especially important if you're competing against a drood for these items)

A Fisherman's Feast- All you need to do is farm it fishing in lakes in the canals you know the normal way (inside stormwind) i alredy tryed it work or the easiest and funniest way steal it! yeah steal it from the fisherman's around Sw you just need to right click the barrels next to them.

There are some spawning points:
1. West of the Trade District (55, 69).
2. East of the Trade District (69, 65).
3. East of the Cathedral District (63, 51).
4. West of the Cathedral District (47, 58).
5. Northeast of the Cathedral District (56, 42).
6. Southeast part of the Dwarven District (69, 41).
7. Southeast of the Dwarven District (71, 44).
8. Northeast corner of Old Town (74, 50).
9. Olivia's Pond North of the Dwarven District (72, 23).

Feeling crabby?-This one is easy just right click the crabs you find in the canals but i have a tip for u before you start ride a mammoth while doing it because since they are much taller then normal mounts so they can walk on the cannals any other normal sized mount will be forced to swim and create a simple macro: "/target Canal Crab" makes it alot easier.

Orphans Like Cookies Too!-In this one you can just buy the sugar from various npcs (some npcs are Connor Rivers and the candy seller next to the quest giver) or loot it from the ground it is confirmed that you can buy several sugar bags rom the same npc but what i really recommend you is camping the spanw point of the sugar(It spanws inside several building in sw most of them related to cooking in any shape way or form) since the spanw time is 5 seconds! yh i know. But still i will give you some usefull places to search for it:

In the Mage Quarter
Blue Recluse (kitchen)

Trade District:
Everyday Merchandise

Old Town:
Pig and Whistle Tavern (kitchen)

Dwarven District:
The Golden Keg

Penny's Pumpkin Pancakes- You just have to gather them from the farm in Sw theres only one farm in sw so it shouldnt be hard to find but i will give you the coords anyway (around 55,11)this quest is in the same area of Diggin' for Worms so if you have both at same time consider yourself lucky :)

The King's Cider - And the last and annoyinest of all king's cider require you to look for the trees that have apples and search around them for fallen apples seems easy right well it is but the trees are scattered all along Sw and some just have 1 apple in the ground that will take even more time if another players are doing it. Some coords/tips now to help a bit . The closest tree to the quest giver is at (55,74).The apples show if you have finding herbs(herbalist skill) so if you are herbalist this will be easier. Final Thing the respawn time is around 2-5 mins for the apples.
All These quests are turned in to Robby Flay excpet Diggin'For Worms that one is turned in to Catherine Leland.

As a hunter the easiest way to complete is to track beasts and ride along the edge of the canal (moving faster than swimmers) and jump in when you see the yellow dots. For everyone else do the exact same but remember 'Tracker snacks are your friend.'

A good tip for this quest is to check if Catherine Leland the daily fishing quest NPC (just across the canal from Robby Flay to the east) has the quest 'Rock Lobster'. If so accept it (you don't have to complete it) and she will give you a buff called Water Gliding which;

'Increases swim speed by 50% for 15 min. Also allows underwater breathing.'

This helps a lot in collecting the crabs al la druid Aquatic Form style.

If your also doing your fishing dailies in SW, keep hold of the Waterwalking and Swim Speed potions you occasionally get! Makes this and lobster cage daily go much quicker!

Warning, there is a 10 emblem limit for the chefs rewards till Cata comes live. So if you are saving them make sure you spend a few or you are wasting your time.

It has been this daily four days in a row on my server. even though i have yet to be able to do kings cider, im not too upset at the fact im getting that many extra cooking awards :)

Lavascale Minestrone is learnable at 450, and goes green at 520. Most others go green at 477

You can mount up while underwater (or at least on the surface), so if there are no crabs in the vicinity, turn on name plates, then mount on your flyer and start flying on the water's surface to look for the crabs.

Few tips to help the newcomers and those who maybe don't already know this stuff:

While flying over the canals (or running along the sides) keep pressing TAB to focus the closest crab
You can keep moving while getting a crab. No need to stop when right-clicking
Use Tracker snacks if you're not a hunter (if you are, go Track Beasts)
You can summon your flying mount if you're next the water superfice. Just jump and fly away

Druids can loot these crabs in flight form. Just fly on top of the water spamming tab or /tar canal crab and your interact with target key. You don't have to stop flying and never have to be in the water.

A macro that I find quite usefull for this quest and not just this one (preaty much any quest where u need to spot some elusive creature or npc):

Btw, I cannot take full credits for this, as I just combined some other /target macros i have found on the net. This particular one put a blue square raid mark on the crab wich make it easyer to spot, also spam u with both text and sound, just in case u'r somehow not paying full atention (like doing the quest late at night after raiding ;P ).

Fastest way I've done this quest so far is sit right at 55, 66 ( near the dock where the fishing trainer is) usually 2-3 spawn there at a time every 10 seconds or so. I'm usually done in less then 2 min.

You guys with the macros and such are making this way more complex than it needs to be. Here's the easiest way I've found...

1.) Get some type of water walking. If your class doesn't have a spell to do it, go to the AH and grab an elixir of water walking.

2.) Hit escape, click interface, then click the "mouse tab" on the left. Checkmark "click to move" and hit okay to confirm the change.

3.) Hit ctrl+v so the crabs (and everyone else) have little name plates.

4.) Run along the top of the water. When you see a crab nameplate (even if it isn't close to you), right click the nameplate. Click to move will run you over to the crab automatically and collect it without any further effort on your part.

These steps make it insanely easy. Just remember to un-checkmark click to move in the mouse interface options once you're done if you don't like click to move.

If you make the macro /target canal crab its really all you need imho because :

1. It will target the crab and his whole body will be lit up under that murky water.
2. this will work around corners.
3. you will now have a giant marker of the crab on your mini map.

The crabs are indeed grabable while mounted, so you may fly just above the water and pick them up.

The easier way to do this is to simply make a macro, and add it to your action bar (or hot-key it). Use the command /tar canal crab. (no period) If you use a large mount (such as a dragon) you should simply be able to walk and the floor of the canals.

For those who are unfamiliar with macros, here's how to create them:
1.) Type /macro to bring up the macro interface.
2.) Click New, then choose a name and icon for your macro.
3.) Under the Enter Macro Commands heading (in the box) type /tar canal crab
4.) (Optional) Click and drag the macro's icon to your action bar.

Go to the game interface menu and open the mouse menu. Make sure right-click to move is checked.
You will now be able to right-click those crabs from a canal length away, automatically swim to them and auto-loot them.
No more holding both mouse buttons down to run anymore. Right-click to move, loot or harvest herb/ore.
Now you won't feel so crabby doing this quest.

I do two things that make this daily incredibly easy.

1. Turn on labels above the crabs with Shift + v. Much easier to see the floating label than some small scuttling crab.
2. In your control interface, bind "Interact with target" to a key or button. Mine is bound to mouse button 5.

Here's how the daily works for me. Turn on labels so I can spot the crabs, fly above the water until I see crab, click the label to select crab, when I get close, hit mouse button 5. Don't even have to slow down.

3 things that make this easy:
Elekk: they are tall enough that you can ride (instead of swim) on the bottom of the canal in most places and still be close enough to pick up the crab.

"Show friendly name plates" - it shows crab nameplates, and makes it lot easier to see/target them (I hotkeyed it to shift-V)

"Interact with target" - picks up targeted crab when you're in range.

I have to wager this is the least fun of all the fishing quests for me. It might be simply because I have to maneuver around awkwardly while the crabs swim by making fun of me.

For those who do not know how to write a macro you can copy and paste the command “ /target Canal Crab ” into the chat window and hit enter.

First go to your Key Bindings and find the " Interact With Target " command and bind it to a key (I use Num Pad 6). Then mount up and get in the water near a Canal Crab and paste the command “ /target Canal Crab ” in your chat and hit enter. This will target the closest Canal Crab. Now hit the hot key you choose for " Interact With Target " and your Toon will go directly to the Canal Crab, Interact with it and pick it up (Rinse & Repeat) until you have all 6 Canal Crab for the quest. Easy Peasy!

Horrible quest.

I looked for a few minutes, realized from this topic that they would be impossible to see, so I just went ahead and abandoned the quest.

If there were actual visible crabs resting at the bottom of the canal, I'd be fine with it. Miniature floating crabs that you can't actually see from under water? No thanks.

Its worth noting that this quest dose indeed give 2 Chef's Award!

For every city there is 1 quest that gives 2 instead of 1.

For Ironforge its Keepin' the Haggis Flowin'
And for Darnassus its Ribs for the Sentinels

This is worth while knowing so if you hate theses dailys and want your awards faster you can go city to city and find out which city is offering the quest for 2 instead of 1.
