You have to kill her before the spell she is under fails or you will not get credit.

If you're melee it's easy to fall off if you try and take her on directly. Go to the lower ledge directly to her right (your left) and you can get close enough to hit her.

I felt really bad doing this quest. Poor broodmother - look at this from her angle. She becomes fertile, lays some eggs; then some hoity-toity paladin comes along, slays her young and uses its skull as a lure to her own death.

Come to think of it, the entire quest series in the second half of Hyjal seems really brutal and unnecessarily cruel.

It seems that she sometimes bugs out. Currently she will not come down to the ground; there's no response after the green dragon makes his first yell. She's unattackable at this point, so I can't make a dive at her and pull her into the lava or anything either.

Rogues, don't use Shadowstep in this fight. You will end up at the bottom of the ledge out of melee range.

At which point you can Vanish and get on your flying mount to fly back up onto the ledge to deal more damage.

She will be extremely angry to have lost one of her drakes. Place the skull there near the carcasses she devours. If she's anywhere in the vicinity, she will come out and attempt to exact revenge.
