A blatently obvious Futurama reference with both names intact.

This looks to be a much friendlier Jewelcrafting daily than the ones in Wrath of the Lich King that had you run half way across the continent for your objectives.

Nibbler's feces consist of dark matter, which could initially be used as starship fuel. It is an extremely dense material, "each pound of which weighs over ten thousand pounds", according to Professor Farnsworth.

It is worth noting that to satisfy the criteria for this quest you must actually cut three solid zephyrites while on it. If you already have 3 you cannot just turn them in.

All five jewelcrafting dailies in Cataclysm have references to the TV show Futurama (some references have already been noted, simply cross-posting on all five quests):

A Present for Lila - Reference to the starship captain Leela, who also has purple hair. Also, reference to the robot Bender (Curver) and his constant drinking. (thanks for this to tonydizzle) EDIT: Upon completion, you also get a reference to the fact that Leela is a cyclops.

Elemental Goo - Reference to Professor Farnsworth and all the crazy contraptions he comes up with.

Nibbler! No! - Reference to spaceship captain Leela's pet, who eats anything and poops out starship fuel in the form of dark matter - hence, the "leavings" comment (thanks, Fortunate)

Ogrezonians in the Mood - Reference to episode 3x05, "Amazon Women in the Mood", in which the Planet Express starship crashes on the planet of the Amazonians (large females) who are ruled by the mighty Femputer. The penalty for the intrusion for all male members of the crew is "death by snoo snoo".

The Latest Fashion! - Another reference to Professor Farnsworth and his experiments and potentially to the show itself (stardust sounding like something from space, etc.)

There was a lot of confusion on how to do this quest, so I hope this helps:

You can get the Zephyrites however you like, whether that's buying it off of the AH, or prospecting it, or whatever. You then cut the 3 Zephyrites into Solid Zephyrite using your JC profession. (It may seem obvious...but some people need that little "extra" help.)

Personally, I bought them off the AH just to see if it would work, and it does.

What a dumb fix. You could just sell your perfect cuts for the money to buy an imperfect gem, surely?

In case you're just starting to do these quests, don't make the mistake I did...cut your gems as you do each quest. You DO NOT get credit unless you cut the gems AFTER you get the quests.

Get a cheap stack of required raw gems, and just cut a few when you get this daily quest.

Remember that you need to cut them AFTER you get the quest - so only cut 3 after you take the quest.

[Lila's pet Nibbler got into my workshop again!

I was making a bracelet, to be delivered today. The work was almost done, except for the gems. I spent all night cutting them, but when I stepped out for a bit of breakfast, the little beast came into my workshop and swallowed every gem in sight! The thing can digest ANYTHING, and trust me, you'd break your back trying to pick up its leavings.

I need to get replacement gems fast; the courier is coming in tonight. Help!]
