The quest is currently bugged for me. I am unable to return the Shredder for some reason. I am also unable to leave the Shredder. I can log out and log back into the game and I will be out of the shredder. However when I go get another one, the same problem I had before happens. I've also tried abandoning the quest and retaking it, which produced the same results.

I'm currently waiting on my GM ticket to be answered about this issue.

Never heard from a GM, but was able to finally complete it. After I logged out and logged back in, I went and picked up a Shredder and went to a mob to get aggro. I just pulled him all the way to the quest giver and it let me turn it in this time. No idea.

Having the same exact problem. Filed a ticket, so we'll see what happens. I tried your suggestion to turn in the quest by pulling aggro, but no dice. After a few steps, the mob stops chasing me, and then keeps swinging at me, damaging me, even though I'm far ahead of him. Yay, glitches.

Update: Playing with my wife, and she says I just appear to be running in place, and not where I'm supposed to be.

I had the same problem, and I think I solved it. The trick is to NOT dismount yourself from the shredder - do NOT use the red dismount arrow. Instead, go straight (in the shredder) to Luciel Starwhisper, and when you get pretty close to her, you'll get kicked out automatically, her grey question mark will turn yellow, and it will show that you've completed the quest and it can be turned in.

I did this quest with Alphadwg, level 27 Hunter-Marksman no pet (attracted too much combat the first time). It was easy by what I did. I did not know where NPC Luciel Starwhisper was located, but the name took me to the NPC in Wowhead. But I did as Kalevitutar suggested and rode the machine up to Luciel Starwhisper, which booted me out of the machine in front of the NPC, who changed to a yellow ?, which I completed! Level up!

To turn in this quest, just march your Shredder straight up to the questgiver, Sentinel Luciel Starwhisper. It will complete.

I will warn you that when I did this, it kicked me back into the campfire, so when you do it, "Move out of the fire!"

It's too dangerous for you to try to destroy them yourself, but if you were to steal one of their shredders, I'm sure they're tough enough to withstand the explosions.
