You do not need to dismount to use the Billy Goat Blaster, making the achievement not hard at all.

There's an achievement associated with this quest called Ready, Set, Goat!.

If you've completed this quest and lost your Blaster but still want to do the achievement, just buy a Billy Goat Blaster DX from Gina Gotgoods <General Goods> in Fuselight and you're good to go.

very simple to get achievement really. The billy goats are all around the town on every cliff, so you just mount up and run in a circle. Now make a macro that is very simple

/target Billy Goat
/use Billy Goat Blaster

and I just ran from goat to goat pressing that got it first try easily.

You can actually get double credit from each Billy Goat by hitting them the wrong direction, into buildings and such. You usually have enough time to run after them and give them another blast for second credit before they despawn. Simply need to hit them (not so much hit them off the cliff) for the quest credit. Just a fun fact.

But why on earth would you wanna make this quest go faster?
Its basically the most fun you can have drunk on the internet.

Oh my. SO MUCH FUN! If you get some of the goats on the high up peaks and stand in the right place, you can send them miles! Now I've said that, you just know you have to log in right now and try and punch the goat the furthest ;)

It's like those online Flash games where you hit a penguin with a baseball bat and see how far it bounces..

Any thoughts on how to get this quest to activate? I completed the loremaster quite some time ago, and need the achievement for the billy goats. Last one :)

You don't need the quest for the achieve. Just buy the Billy Goat Blaster DX from Gina Gotgoods and use it to get the 12 in under one minute. If you use the macro previously suggested, you will have to go back and add "DX" to the item name in the macro.

Because of the rough terrain and the likelyhood of falling off a cliff when hurrying around, I found this quest somewhat difficult-had to do it three times before I got it.

If you're particularly cruel, you can punt them towards the town into a building and launch them again if you're quick about it.

Though perhaps not the core part of this quest (I mean, it is brilliant), you can skip this quest and continue with Badlands proper via and then . This way you can keep this quest for a Steamwheedle grind in the future and only waste the gains from the mentioned two quests. The former doesn't give rep, so turn in the rod to your heart's content.

Confirmed that the goats can be pushed while mounted. Makes the achievement "Ready, Set, Goat!" pretty easy. Happy hunting, and good luck!
