The day that Deathwing came, blood rained from the skies.
I believe I was showing my motorcycle to some hot babes at the time.
After Deathwing appeared, they became quite frightened, but I only had room to rescue one of them.
Obviously, I picked the night elf.
Blood Elf Admirer says: I can die in peace, knowing that my last few moments were with Martek.
Orc Admirer says: I loved you, Martek!
Human Admirer says: I can die in peace, knowing that my last few moments were with Martek.
We rode off down the canyon, careful to avoid falling rocks.
When I reached the end of the canyon, I remembered that my motorcycle could fly.
That would have been helpful to know earlier.
I flew to the top of the pillar located just north of the canyon.
During the flight, I shared a tender moment with the grateful young night elf.

Funny thing: the blood elf admirer is male.

These were the first quests I completed after logging in 4.0.3a. I had no idea what would come when I first accepted the "listen to the story" quest, and was pleased to see a cinematic instead of having to skip 4 pages of dialogue. I'm bad at reading those kinds of quests, I admit that.

But boy'o'boy, this was the most refreshing and epic quest chain I've seen for a while. It was so much fun :D I don't even know which story I liked the best, especially the gnome and the orc ones were so much fun. This was great, I really thank Blizzard for this :)

Awesome quest line. Aside from the flying motorcycle, I liked how The Gnomelette prior to this grew up, reached into the sun and grabbed Deathwing before throwing him to Kalimdor.

i just did this quest line and it was just such a great laugh.

my favorite might be this one due to the interruptions by Theldurin and Lucien.

All in all one of the best quest lines ever..

I do like wrathgate one i suggest everyone who gets to that level does it, its just so win.

The blood elf is indeed a dude, and it is a jab at the effeminacy/perceived homosexuality of male blood elves. The orc does indeed know that that's a guy; he calls him "strapping," which I've never heard used to describe women. And if you so choose to save the blood elf, he asks "Going my way?"

Whatever floats your boat, or flying motorcycle, as it were.

Most epic quest ever, I haven't ever shed a tear from laughing in WoW but this was damn well close to. Of course I chose the blood elf... Which resulted in "During the flight, I shared a tender moment with the strapping blood elf." Hahaha - man this expansion rocks!

All 3 dudes used to be Badlands quest givers pre Cata.
Not sure about the Orc, but I remember the gnome had some alchemy quest and the dwarf was inolved in a long Arathi Highlands quest chain that I used to like a lot.
I'm glad they not only survived the Cataclysm, they also punched Deathwing in the face, kicked him across the ocean and saved some babes.

I don't think that anyone's noticed that his name changes from "Martek the Exiled" to "Martek the Awesome" while in phase; you can see it when you click his model on the bike.

Quit possibly one of the most amusing quests in the game...thoroughly enjoyed this one! Too bad you can't catch up with them again for a followup story....

I did manage to find a way to unite the Alliance and the Horde....send bikini clad babes to keep the peace with the other faction....

Drug testing should be mandatory for such quests like this and the 2 quests it follows. The little guy bunching one time only to Rolling Rock / Stone guys was a grinding waste. The Gnome too big for his britches, having, " LOOK HOW BIG I AM" attitude. First 3 clouds, I was bunching #1 and # 2 so much, that I wondered whether I was hitting anything there, moved out of the valley then clouds started appearing got the last 2 clouds an seeing them. The Orc on his ROD, the comments were so sexually oriented that I almost missed the fight he had which was way too short, he won. But the Red Rubber Ball in the sky, was nothing more than these quests are at an end. I hope I was helpful, but that was what happened to my Rogue-Combative-level 51. Level up!

Loved this one! Just happened to come across it during Midsummer Festival, I love how Blizz also takes the mickey out of male BE for being, well, rather more feminine like than other male races. The questline with Johnny Awesme was great too. Worth doing this questline just for the LOL's.

Just decided to do the Quest-line with an "Alt" and chose the "Night Elf" instead this time.

instead of "During the flight, I shared a tender moment with the strapping blood elf." he said " During the flight, I shared a tender moment with the grateful young Night Elf""

Since "Stapping" usually does apply to males, I believe that Martek (Quest Giver) in fact did know that the Bloodelf was Male.

No one really mentioned the actual mechanics of how to do the quest, I suppose because its so simple-you just do what the narrative suggests-pick a partner, ride to the end of the canyon (trying to avoid the falling rocks) and fly to the top of the pillar where Deathwing is. You can see his icon on the mini-map.

If you get up there and nothing happens, get closer to Deathwing, the narrative will continue. You just sit back and watch.

People need to just give in and let it go. The orc's bi. Get over it. (The fact that he calls the blood elf "strapping" is proof he knows the elf's a boy. You don't use "strapping" for girls.) Jeez, people. Let the GLBT community have their moment. God knows they don't get many in this game.

Here is a newsflash to 81 posts above me:

- The story is made up and the storyteller is drunk. (Ya rly)
- Blood Elf is male because that is the joke.
- This quest is not the first time that Blizzard refers to male Blood Elves as females, other examples are: Holde Maid gesucht and . As you can see other characters also couldn't see the difference between males and females when it comes to the Elf race because, again, that is the joke.
- So obviously this Orc isn't gay or bi, he is simply drunk and confused, or are you telling me he really does have a bike and it really can fly?

Oh, and...

- I'm gonna punch that dragon in the face!

make sure that when you get to the top of the pillar, you go right up to deathwing, don't get out of the bike, or you'll have to repeat the process.

Why don't you list the night elf admirer? I don't know about all you other guys, but every admirer, when I did the quest, was clearly a hot babe, one of which was a night elf hot babe, who I chose to save.

If you for some strange reason don't want to take your time while you do this quest, I noticed (just as I finished, lolwhoops) that there's an ability on the vehicle bar that does something to the effect of increasing your speed by a bunch for a few seconds. It's not anything crucial to the quest completion, it's just nice to have if you're getting surrounded by the falling rocks, etc.

Because I really don't think it's funny how blizzard uses the awkward parent type of humor, trying to joke with their fans about how the blood elf male model is somehow feminine regardless of it having no feminine features.

I mean the rest of the questline is great, but this isn't really funny at all to me.
