if you kill the guy u will get exactly 0/21000 into revered with argent dawn. for me it was 19676 rep with argent dawn.

I got 20800 Reputation at the end of the test. I guess there weren't joking about 'joining' the Argent Dawn.

Use the Scroll in the center of the last chamber of the crypt
You will get a buff that helps you defeat waves of mobs
The event lasts roughly 2 mins

So yeah... if you're after Argent Dawn rep, this quest actually makes all the rep you get up to this point a waste of time. So make sure you do this quest ASAP.

Got 24960 rep as a human (10% extra rep) with 2 ranks in Mr. popularity (Another 10% extra rep). 20800 is probably the standard amount of rep you get, as 20% more of that is 24960 rep. (20800x1.2= 24960). Which means the bonuses are cumulative too.

Doing this with Mr. Popularity is recommended as rank 2 gives you 2080 extra rep (rank 1 should give you 1040 extra rep) no matter what.

the entrance is at 77.50.Go downstairs and use provided item then 8-10 mobs spawn.
it gave 20790 reputation to me (85 lvl)

July 2013: I don't know if it was ever discovered, but when I had the 2 Pallys buffing me, and qould queue for BGs? The buffs they would apply would be on both me AND my pet (DK Ghoul, in my case - but guessing same for warlock & hunter pets) - and these would persist into BGs. I'm guessing you could wait until a BG pops, dismiss pet, resummon, grab the buffs (they auto-apply)(or used to, anyway), and enter the BG.

If I find time, I'll try to see if that still 'works'

No one mentioned this above, but a useful tip:

Tarenir and Gidwin, being good pally types, will throw out 2 auras and 2 blessings to anyone/everyone in the party. For me, it was devotion, ret, might and kings. If you are a pally, or there is another, they may have more available.

Why am I mentioning this? 2 reasons:

1) They buffed my ghoul. And after the 5 minutes, re-buffed him again. I would guess it would be the same for both hunter & warlock pets.

2) after the crypt, I decided to take them for a 'stroll' before turning it in. First, out the camp. Then over to browman's hill, and then into the noxious glade. they NEVER left/evaded. With my ghoul, they took out a rare and an elite 45 without much help on my part. I don't know what their range is, but you could find lots of spots, I'm sure.

Sooooo, if you are 39/low 40s, and looking for fast exp, do this. Take the caravan +2% exp buff, and happy grinding :) It is VERY similar to the 3 dwarves you can grab in badlands for Rhea's questline!

The big rep reward is gone. I only got 660 points for completion. It wasn't even enough to get me out of friendly.

I just finished this quest on my lvl 42 rogue, and I got 20800 rep in reward and got instantly revered.

With guild perk I was given 22,880 rep! I was shocked. I was expecting a REALLY long grind.

I do not know if anyone else has had this problem, but if something goes horribly wrong and you die when trying this the first time, Gidwin and Terenar do not respawn to help after you resurrect. I tried abandoning the quest and re-accepting it, as well as running out of Light's Hope and back in, but nothing worked.

As a side note, if this happens to you as a Rogue, you can solo it anyway by keeping Recuperate up on the beginning mobs, vanishing when George comes out, and then just alternate Hemorage/Gouge stuns and Kidney shot stuns until he is dead. Works better for Sub Rogues since they can premeditate and get the ambush bonus.

If you're doing this at a high level and decide to be lazy and let the two spawned NPCs take care of doing all the fighting (say you go AFK or something), they'll handle it fine, but if you don't deal damage to the last guy you fight (Lord Raymond George), you don't get credit for the quest and have to reuse the scroll given to you at the start.

tl;dr: Do damage to the last guy you fight for credit.
