Best method I found was to just leave and re-enter the vehicle after bombing the middle. All the other locations were iffy.

This method I found is guaranteed to work. I found that you can click the button that lets you lay down your target and the mouse button to release the bomb at least 3 times if you do it quickly. The most bombs I managed to get off before the 5 second CD was 5 and they landed a split second after each other giving me the achievement on my 1st try. You can basically blanket a much larger area giving them no escape :)

I wasn't able to attack the mobs who are far aways. The shot arrived but no kills, can anybody confirm this?

Not sure if this changed recently, but I just did it (3:07pm, December 23rd, 2010) and got 250 Ramkahen reputation before guild bonus. So if this persists, that's now 2 dailies for Ramkahen rep.

Bombs kill the guys that spawn at the bottom of the stairway, not the distant guys or the stationary ones at the top of the left stairway. I just tossed bombs in front of the bottom of the stairs as soon as it came off CD.

I only did the Ramkahen-goes-to-war chain in Uldum, not the Harrison Jones quests (yet). Does this daily unlock after the entire Harrison Jones chain?

I can't even pick up this daily. Like it isn't even there.
I completed the quest line, I did the same quest before when I was lvling in Uldum.

It looks like this daily was fixed. Spawn rate is a lot better now and it looks like they added a few spawn points at the top of the stairs and far off up top. Much easier to do now.

I'm having a problem with these guys standing still, but when I hit them I don't get credit. So I believe them to still be moving but on my screen they're just still. Didn't have this problem before...

They really need to change this daily. They have fixed MOST of the problems with it, as far as mobs not getting hit or not spawning properly, and now the daily has become quite popular on my server. Right now there are about a dozen people doing it, and because everyone is attacking the same mobs, it takes FOREVER to do this daily. They either need to lower the number of mobs you have to kill, or make it so it's phased away from other players; meaning if a person is doing the quest, it seems as though they're the only one doing the quest.

The issue of npc's not moving is really not fixed yet. Just today i was shooting blindly at the sand without seeing any soldiers and with luck got it done...

this quest is so retarded. cant even see the npc's to target them. its a frustration and a half. until they fix it, its quicker to get rep inside a heroic than waste time on this steaming pile.

If you made it to Obelisk of the Stars and finished the Harrison Jones quests there, although it seems to end--you pick up the quest chain again at Schnottz Landing. After resuming the quest line there and finishing it I was able to unlock this daily quest.

Can anyone link the last quest of harrison jones thats gotta be completed before this daily opens?

I tried rounding up the mobs on my tank to get them killed by the demolishers. However, I went *splat*.
When flying to the target area, you can see the mobs moving as they do and the markers players lay down on the ground. The projectiles that land don't seem to affect the mobs at all; they never die or take any damage. My guess is that the even though the markers appear the 'real' world, players who man the demolisher are hitting phased enemies.

Considering that half the quests in Uldum don't give any Ramkahen rep, you'd think Blizzard would have come up with more than 2 measly dailies for this faction. I've completed every quest in Uldum on 4 toons so far and the farthest I've been able to get is up to about 2140 honored, which is pretty damn stingy considering the amount of work put in. After all, by the time you complete all the quest lines you've pretty much single-handedly driven out an army of bad guys and given the Tol'vir all their most sacred places back. Enough rep to get to revered wouldn't be asking too much imo. Granted, you can wear the tabard in daily heroics so it's not a huge deal in the long run, but for those of us who can't do every heroic every day it would have been nice to give a somewhat similar head start as Deepholm, and if that really is too much to ask, then at least how about 3 or 4 more daily quests to make the rest of the climb a little easier?

Problem: The targets are standing still and when you hit them with the bomb, it rarely, if ever, gives you credit for it.

Reason: Even though you can't see them move, they are moving.

Solution: Instead of trying to hit the unmoving targets, hit the areas where they should be walking. In other words, starting bombing randomly along the stairs (top, middle, bottom, take your pick).

When I took this approach, I got credit a lot more often, even though, as far as I could see, the bombs I launched weren't hitting anything.

For those who have a crappy pc like me, and basicly run on minimal settings, set your view distance to at least "fair" or you will only see 20% of the mobs there

As of patch 4.0.6, this quest appears to have been fixed, and all the groups of infantry soldiers now move around properly and can be killed to complete the quest.

Does anyone know if there is a quest line to open this daily? I can do Thieving Little Pluckers, but no daily question mark for Fire in the Sky nomads. Rep is friendly, and i'm level 85

if you have ever played the flash game "momentum missile mayhem 3" you'll be pretty familiar with the mechanics of how the firing works.

designate target, time delay, explosion. those artillery missions always made me loose.

worth noting, the delay seems slightly randomised, but is affected by range. farthest target possible will take about 10 seconds to land.

I only found out about this daily from forum posts. Blizz talked about improving quest flow in cata, well this one was poor quest flow, the quest shouldve gone "blue colour" immediately after completion so we know its a daily.

I didnt see anyone post the coords for this one but they are 41.4, 5.5. It is up on a cliff side and you will see the artillery machines sitting right there. the quest giver is in the one right in the center of the 5 of em.

As of 4.1 - You can no longer get multiple bombardments by clicking really fast. It only launches 1 now.

The trick with the spamming no. 1 did not work for me.

But what gave me the achiev was to aim on the troops most far away and after the cooldown aim on the troops nearest to me. The shell takes such a long time to fly on the top of the hill that it hits the soldiers in the same time as the soldiers nearest to you.

This daily was not available to me although I completed this quest as a non-daily already.

Once I had completed "Harrison Jones and the Temple of Uldum" the daily became available.

The daily itself is really easy and doable these days, used to be bugged before it seems.

Warning: skip this if you hate whining.

I find the two daily quests here are so utterly boring and, well, rather mean-spirited! This one works just fine for me but I (a) find it tedious and (b) its even worse when you're not the only one targeting. And because they are the only two...one has to do them over and over again. And then there is no easy way out of Uldum.

It feels like WOW really ran out of steam here. There are so many good possibilities here: even a steal the camel daily or kill X amount of scorpions in a given period of time. Or a rescue quest. Something not so...stationary.

As the guards are marching in group, I found it easier to plant the bomb (or whatever it is) just a few steps ahead of them. When the bomb is set off (at the end of the cast time), the group would be right in the middle of it. I tend to get 6-7 kills each time.

k, I'm confused. I'm trying to do the Harrison Jones quests. I just finished the Obelisk of the Sun quests, and now I can't find the next quests. I've looked around the Obelisk of the Moon, the Temple of Uldum, the Oasis of Vir'sar (because that's what I've gathered is the next phase of quests) and other areas; but I can't seem to find anything. Please help.
