Prevent spirits from healing at all cost, Zanzil doesn't really heal much just get rid of him when he's nearby and stay with Venoxis to dps him down.

when you get strangled at the end keep clicking on the rope ladder to escape and you will be teleported back to the quest giver to turn in the quest.

If you die at the end because you didn't click the rope in time, you will loose 10% durability and a get ported to a graveyard but the quest is will still complete.

I didn't stop the spirits from healing Venoxis just to see what happens and the only difference was that Zanzil said he succeded instead of saying he was a failure. Other than that, the quest got completed anyway and the event with The Hexxer and the ladder was the same

This quest is completely bugged for me at the moment. Zanzil never summons Venoxis, he just runs around the room summoning Spirits of Venoxis which despawn after a few seconds. You can get Zanzil down to 1hp, then he vanishes, teleports back and starts all over again. I can't complete it because the boss is never summoned. I've dropped quest several times and still get the same thing every time. Anyone else having this issue?

The quest was bugged for me however in a different way: everything went fine, then when I clicked on the ladder nothing happened, so I died.

ok, it bugged on me I dropped quest and went to Chabal and pick it back up. Then I just attacked the body of venoxis the spirits spawn and the spirits started to res him......I then killed them all and was able to take the ladder when it came by...quest complete

I was unable to click on the ladder in a feral form and wound up getting insta killed when Jindo finished his cast.

I wanted to see what happened when you clicked on the ladder so I abandoned the quest to redo it...

Clicking it just ports you to the entrance of Hardwrench. Nothing special other than that.

If you dont click the ladder you'll die and be insta-rezzed at a GY outside of ZG, just use the totem Chabal gave you to port back to the town.

Note that the cursor doesn't change to a cogwheel when you mouse over the ladder, which could easily lead you to believe it wasn't clickable. I clicked the ladder anyway, and it worked. Of course, it might still bug for some other reason.

Completed the quest with no problems, but then got ported back to town and found all the NPCs gone. This is a phasing issue; to solve it, simply run a little way out of town and back in.

Just did this quest and found it bugged, but in a rather funny way. I was stunned up until the second that I died, so I'm not sure if that prevented me from clicking the ladder, but it didn't seem to work at all. Digging back through the combat log, I found that that after the ladder appeared... it began to attack Jin'do! I clicked it as many times as I could before I died, but it never bothered trying to rescue me. It was too absorbed in its ladder-y bloodlust.

I was trying to do this quest on my warlock and was not able to click the ladder, instead Jin'do would just kill me. When I tried it with my pet dismissed, it worked for me. So that may be a reason some people are unable to get on the rope ladder.

I had a problem with High Priest Venoxis not appering
when I accepted the quest and entering the room..

What seem to work if you get this problem is simply
log out and back in again:)

Ok so what's interesting about this quest is there's no obvious strategy to deal with Zanzil, the adds, and Venoxis. It doesn't really matter anyways, the quest is set up as a kind of no-win situation, so you're not required to attack Venoxis at all. Still it is possible if you have enough dps—I took a few attempts* to get Venoxis down to minimum health (1 hp), which then directly triggers the role-play segment.

*On my 33 blood elf rogue, using kick and arcane torrent; I found that you have to drive the health bar down fairly quickly for it to work or you get overwhelmed.

I was bugged in another way - there was just nothing there - ran around for a bit and when I re-entered via the gate to the area, there he was at the top of the stairs completing the ritual.
Nothing was there 10 seconds earlier.
I ran in put up a Consecration and dropped an exorcism and commenced to blast away. He ports off, sacriffice sits at 1 for a few hits and then I find myself in the smokey necklace of doom - Bad guy gives usual bad guy speach then URK instadead - ladder floating just out of reach during the speach and auto-unbreakable-stun
85 Holy Paladin - yes I lost durability >_<

Tottaly anoying conclusion - writters need a good slap and a sit in the corner.

You can keep the quest and use Chabal's Fetish as another way to hearth to town. Later, you can turn in the quest after done with all the other quests in the zone since it is the last quest in the chain anyway.

Note that it is only used while in the zone, and unfortunately not a teleport from Orgrimmar for example.
