As a Rogue these can be hard to kill in green gear.

I sugest u sap the Guardian, kill the Squid .. and vanish (or just move away xD)

the Taken Gilblins also give the head. WoWs quest helper thing isnt fully accurate on the places they spawn either.

The actual mobs you're 'supposed' to kill seem to be somewhat rare.
Go for the Taken Giblins. They're more numerous and 'easier' (one mob versus two, one of which is like... 5k health.) to kill.
They can be found all around Deepfin Ridge.

Guide to Vashj'ir Abyssal Depths Alliance quests:

The entire Vashj'ir line starts in Stormwind with Call of Duty.
The immediate pre-requisite to this chain is Full Circle from
Shimmering Expanse.

At any time, kill a Hellscream Seadog to get Claim Korthun's End.

Main chain:
Bio-fuel
Fuel-ology 101 ( use 2 remora and 3 hammerhead oil)
The Brothers Digsong
Phosphora Hunting
A Lure and Coldlights Out
Optional: Enormous Eel Egg should have dropped, which starts
a quest leading to The Brothers Digsong 2: Eel-Egg-Trick Boogaloo

Next: One Last Favor which also unlocks optional quests

Unfortunately these buggers are always accompanied by a naga, but on the positive side it is a 100% drop rate.
