If when you are close to the box it doesn't say out of range it just does the cool down but no fire you are still out of range just step closer. Seems to be some kind of bug

Tip: Its not one flame thrower per box.. once u have obtained the flame thrower.. just use the same one on all boxes..

You have to do the flamethrower 2-3 times per box. And make sure you have it targeted.

I have tried doing this quest, I'm able to get the flame thrower, but not able to use it. I cannot find an icon for it, cannot click on it, and clicking on the box does not help either. Any suggestions?

First you need to kill a Krom´gar incinerator, then u will resive Warsong Flame Thrower from the loot, then just go to the boxes "warsong stockpile" and put them in fire by useing "Warsong Flame Thrower"

I had the same problem with the flame thrower not working. I just deleted it and picked up another one, and then it worked fine.

The flamethrower wouldn't work for me unless I was right next to the crate. Doesn't seem like the best flame-throwing safety to me, but whatevs.

This quest chain isn't continuing for me, for some strange reason. This quest here is where it seemed to stop for me. I burned the boxes, got credit, turned it in at the mine... and nothing! There was no follow-ups or messages to continue on.

If you look at your character screen (C), when you use the flamethrower, it shoots out flames on your portrait.

You need to kill a Krom´gar incinerator to get the flamethrower.
I found out that the easist way to kill the incinerators, is to hit them once and then target the Oil Canister they carry on the back. If you don't hit the incinerators once before the canister, you don't have loot permission on their corpses.
The oil canister has 699hp and the incinerators have ~2500hp.
