A lot of this information is wrong... It is stating that this quest is done in The Stonecore, The Throne of Tides and Blackrock Caverns. But the quest is done right around the npc in the water infront of him in Hyjal. You have to find mobs in the water that are attacking the eggs, hence saving his eggs.

I wondered about this as well. He definitely doesn't sound female.

My best guess is that he had consorts here at some point, before the Twilight's Hammer invasion.
