This model has pink/red glowing eyes that remain upon taming. Per cats, comes with prowl. On this model, in prowl, the red glowing eyes and silver sheen reminds me of the rare (and no longer tamable) blue "ghost" wolf. For hunters who enjoy cats, give this one a look over.

Obviously, the prowl makes this less a pve pet and more a pvp pet, and to quest with it requires you turn prowl off. So questionable pet for raiding, but it's base dps is nice, just no special raid utility.

The "hunched" posture you see in the screenshots is a unique stance for this pet, which it maintains after taming. It's head bows down toward the ground and it's shoulders hunch up, making it look particularly moody. Haha

I'm getting this one as my cat for sure!

Stumbled upon one when I was mining there as a lvl 73, almost died when had to dismount to beast lore him. Got quite happy when I noticed they were tamable though :D.

Best looking cat in-game atm in my opinion.

The eyes glow depends on spell detail.

If yours is at low, it'll barely glow.

If yours is at high, it'll glow insanely and look very very evil.

This pet/npc has a new skin as of 3.1

The new model is a very dark black and very "evil" looking.

It still has glowy eyes, as well.

I seem to be the only one who thinks these cats are dreadfully ugly, then again I like to keep things simple like a durotar tiger.

Another important thing is that this cat together with the Frost Leopard is the highest level cats in the game at 77. Saves you 2 levels of leveling if taming at 80.

Quick question.. I see the level ranges are 71-77, but in Zul'Drak all I've seen is lvl 77, where would the lvl 71 beast be? I'm currently 74 and want to tame one to replace my cat from Winterspring. Would love to find a lvl 74 or lower :)

this is a spirit beast but it is classified as a cat and has the rake ability the reason i call it a spirit beast is because its a cursed offspring of har,koa and har,koa is king of spirit beasts if i remember right (har,koa is untameable!)

I agree that this is one of the best looking cats in game. But i have to agree with alienmisfit when he says that Blackmaw here is the best looking cat. If only he was tameable.

These are tameable, but I recommend saving your pet slots for the wind serpents later in the quest chain.

I was flying around Zul'Drak half asleep mining when I came across this guy.
Looked good so I popped Tame on him, no drama at 78. Cool new pet, bye Humar.
