Appears to be tier 6 shaman set. The 2 piece is nice, I guess, could have done better, however the 4 piece is awesome. Stormstrike cooldown is 10 seconds, so that'll always be up, along with Unleashed rage.

Heroics and 25 man raids are a much different scenario, expect to have blessing of salvation, tranquil air totem buffs on you at all times.

This set is right in every way which tier 4 -and to a lesser extend tier 5- were wrong. Gem colors are pretty much perfect. The amount of stamina is downright insane.

I don't care much for the look, however. Ah well; can't win em all ;-)

With the socket bonuses, the stat totals are slightly different:
212 strength
304 stamina

Note that the yellow sockets on these are great for +hit gems, and the blues can give you some survivability if you throw something with stamina in there.

I agree a threat bonus would really have been preferable to decreased shock cost, but I'll take what I can get. Shrouding potions can help too, and honestly, if you're not using TA in a melee group, then your melee DPS isn't going full hog. Even rogues can pull aggro if they go full DPS with salvation on, assuming they're decent players. Worst comes to worst, you can save them time and energy from feinting ;)

The 10% reduced cost from shocks is ok, but stacked with convection (10% mana reduction) and mental quickness (6% mana reduction), it helps a ton with how mana inefficient enhancement shaman can be in long fights and gives a grand total of 26% reduced mana cost for shocks! I agree though that this could just worsen shamen's natural aggro problem.

For my money, these set bonuses are significantly inferior to the Tier 4 set bonuses. Fully raid buffed, with Orc racial plus AP trinket, I find that Shamanistic Rage makes mana issues nonexistent. Even if I do run out of mana, only 5% of my damage comes from Shocks anyway. As for Stormstrike, with Mana Spring Totem and natural mana regen outside the 5-second window, I've never found myself in a situation where I wanted to Stormstrike but couldn't. So the 2-piece set bonus is pretty worthless from an overall raid DPS perspective. As for 70 AP, that would be a tiny fraction of your total raid-buffed AP in Tier 6, and doesn't even come close to comparing to the extra damage output that adding 5% to Flurry gives you. I'm hoping Blizzard revisits these set bonuses, because as it stands right now I won't be surprised if we see Hyjal-geared Enhancement Shamans still wearing 4 pieces of Cataclysm in a few months time.

shamanistic rage(regain mana) + shamanistic focus(60%) + T6 Enh 2-piece bonus(10% + clearcasting state(60%)+ convection(10%)- all these %'s are for reduction for shock spells. if u punch in the numbers its well over 140% reduction(excluding shamanistic rage becuase its their as a mana boost) with all of these, our shocks are way to mana efficient. blizzard should start focusing on other things because they really did make our shocks kickass

The three new pieces being added in 2.4 (boots, belt, bracers) are fantastic and hopefully a sign of things to come in terms of Enhancement Shaman itemisation.

Is it just me or are the set bonuses just crap since 2.3? I mean a good enhancement shammy should never run oom due to Water Shield and Shamanistic Rage, especially if Judgement of Wisdom is on (which it should be) so that sort of rules out the need for mana reduction. Also the new Focused effect which procs upon critting and reduces 60% of shock mana cost kind of dwarfs this 2 piece set bonus.
Secondly, although the 70 AP should technically be always up, it is not a HUGE increase in DPS as for example from the tier 5 4 piece which increased haste by 5% on flurry. No offense Blizz, but I think this set is gimped hard when compared to all the other classes which get bonuses as percentages rather than figures. Why not increase AP by 10% or even better, reduce threat generated? I'm sure DPS is not the shaman's main issue, but rather his aggro is.

l2 drop tranquility totem?

by the time you've got this kind of gear set, even 4/4 your raid group needs to be broken into 3 pieces, tank party, dps party, and heal party.

as an enhanced shaman, you're enhancing the ret pali next to you, who, should never lose aggro, no matter what... the combat rogue, shouldn't need to use any type of aggro-reducing abilities either, maximizing all DPS for you 3.

if you are still running 5-man "heroics" ... lay off stormstrike and keep 3 totems out. =P

Looking back in the past this is the most retarded item set ever implemented by Blizzard. Boots, waiste and bracers were introduced only on a later stage, at SWP. The quantity of MP5/intellect on other items is ludicrous (remember that this was the set for MELEE shamans).
And the set bonuses were useless (fixed 70 AP on SS while other classes used to have a percentage bonus. Not to mention the 2 pieces set bonus, absolutelly useless).
At that time Strenght was our strongest stat and we had no MW nor chance to cast a LB.
At that time, every sufficient enh shaman had to wear leather and lolled at who used this set.

Designers achieved the same result on this set as when they buffed all other classes/specs while allowing us a change of stormstrike icon.

Note for collectors and transmogrifiers:

The bracers, boots and belt of this set do NOT match the artwork for the rest of the set ("Raid Shaman F Blue" in the database). They actually come from the art for the unofficial "Sunwell" mail set. This was because the tokens for those three pieces were introduced at a later stage and they decided they wanted to use the new artwork rather than match the old pieces properly.

If you're interested in finding the pieces that DO match the majority of the Skyshatter set:
Bracers: 嚎风护腕 from 雷基·冬寒 in Hyjal Summit
Belt: 自然庇护腰带 from 苏普雷姆斯 in Black Temple
Boots: sadly, as far as I can tell there aren't any in this colour. However there are two pairs in the black/red variant of this set which aren't too far off. I'm guessing one of them should have been blue: 海洋之怒长靴 from 高阶督军纳因图斯 in Black Temple or 止水长靴 from 雷基·冬寒 in Hyjal Summit.

With the correct pieces, the set looks like this. Since the bracers are hidden under the gloves the really only obvious difference is the belt (and lack of boots!).

Also note for non-Shamans trying to collect some of the pieces of this set, there are a kilt: 冰冻森林褶裙, and gloves: 灵魂行者护手 that match this colour.

This set is awful for Enhancement, comparing with the other classes and specs.
I got a Enhancement shaman since the first days of BC, and from that time till now i haven't seen a decent itemization for my spec. I got to wear rouge leather stuff to get the stats i need.

Back to this set: we do not need any mp5. 35mp5 that this set gives it's simply useless, since you spend 200 mana for each shock (shamanistic focus) and you got the water shield on (50mp5). And you got shamanistic rage too, to refill completely your mana each 2 mins. And if you are in a decent raid, you got wisdom too, and seal of wisdom on the bosses.
You can spam shock each cooldown refreshing totems each minute and never go out of mana.
35mp5 could be changed for everething else more useful: crit, hit, str or even agi (25 agi=1% crit).

The first bonus set is ridicolous: if you consider shamanistic focus effect, this bonus saves 20 mana per shock. NOTHING.

The second bonus set it's insulting: every other class has a % bonus on a main ability (or more main abilities) and we got 70 ap.

I hope someone at Blizzard can see all this, and fix the set. As they did with t4 set, that got spelldmg (LOL) for enhancement shaman before the fix.

lolz, this set, I must agree, does not look THAT great for an enhancement shammy...

But, it has a LOT of plusses, mainly which are-

It has intellect and mp5. Yeah yeah, sucks right? Think you don't low run on mana? Well now you never will. You'll always be mana efficient and always have mana, not a bad little trade off when you need to say, heal yourself, or somebody else...

Next, it has STRENGTH. That's right, none of this sissy ap crap, you will have STRENGTH, and equally more ap and around the same crit chance for that hunter gear #$%^.

Next, it's got a LOT of yellow slots, which, at first, is a bad thing.

But considering that you'll be missing all the crit chance from agility (THANK GOD no agility is on here) the yellow slots WILL come in handy and you will probably hit the set bonuses on a few of these items just because it looks like it might go.

And, yes, this thing sucks a little.

But not THAT bad, and it's got all the hit rating and and crit chance you really need...

Think of it this way, you can now basically dump all that other hit rating crit chance crap gear and just go full ap with the rest of your stuff lol

Also, if your crazy enough to be ot'ing, this thing has got a lot of yellow and blue slots, defense and stamina O.o.

It's awesome, IMO, but I would actually go for some other raid drops after I got this...

Considering I shock EVERY TIME IT'S UP, I drop totems very frivilously (sp) and always have up mana shield, I pop shamanistic rage about every 3-4 minutes usually. I just know every time I'm at 30% mana I can pop it and be at full mana again within seconds. This gear has 0 agility on it. Which saddens me. This gear also has 5 less hit rating than T5. IMO, from where this gear comes from, it's a joke of an upgrade from cataclysm.

85 HIT - +5 over T6
45 Crit Rating - Meh, I guess.

6 Mp5 - Still too much Mp5.

130 INT - WTF For?

141 Crit RATING - Just give us 140 AGI and we'll be fine.
35 Mp5 - (Refer to the INT)

So let's see, for T6 you get +30 STR (60 AP), -5 hit rating (If you're enhancement raiding and not dual wielding, you're dumb), 4 more int (WOOTZORZ!) +29 Mp5 (why?), 61 Stam (610 HPs) and ZERO critical strike rating. If you do the math, they're damn near the same ammount.

So..... for those stats upgrade on my gear, I should spend how much time learning how many bosses to get it? About the ONLY damn reason I can see going through BT is #1 to say I did, and #2 the trinket. The weps are quite nice also. Soon I can drop blacksmithing and get rid of the damn mace. :( (I just like hearing axes more than I do maces, hehe)

That being said, depending on how your guild does it, if there are pieces that are not a tier and they're cheaper on DKP, grab them instead. The set bonusses are "meh" at best. You can get 70 more AP by using different gear and such, but T5 2 piece = secks still IMO. I doubt if I will ever get rid of 2 piece bonus.

i think we've all learned something today, pvp gear is easier to get and lots more fun. The gear is somewhat more improved and .... come on it looks the same except with this badass black and red. On my server i see plenty of people that will let full pvp geared players into their 25-man ect. So why the hell wouldnt you just go for that.... least that way you could still get all the stats you need. well anyway im done
