Note that speaking with this NPC will allow you to be freely buffed with Mark of the Wild (Rank 2, it seems).

This guy is one of two properly sized Tauren in the game, the other being the Tauren chief. You can stand next to him as a Tauren and see the size difference.

If he dies it's game over. You have to restart the whole instance to begin the escort again.

As the abilities-tab says, Disciple of Naralex uses two abilities:

Before the group starts the escort, he casts druid spell Mark of the Wild (Rank 2) to anyone who speaks to him (right-click). Quite useless if you have a druid in your group, as druids learn Rank 3 of the spell on level 20.
During the escort, he stops in a circle surrounded by torches, casting Serpentine Cleansing to banish the spirits of the defeated Fang Lords from the caverns. (This has nothing to do with Myzrael, although the description tells so.)

Hope this makes more sense than the Abilities-tab with just the abilities' names.

This guy might be the slowest walking escort in the game. He's the only one I've noticed that you can actually pass at walking speed.

At level 80, I think perhaps I should have let some of the mobs get to him at least. He's been standing there trying to rez Naralex for 20 minutes now. The event won't move on.

Seems Blizz finally gave our nameless disciple friend a name in Patch 4.0.3 - his name apparently is now Muyoh (previously just Disciple of Naralex). This is to distinguish him from his 2 new disciple friends (Nalpak and Ebru, also questgivers) that are now beside him as of 4.0.3.

The no respawn thing really stinks when one of the dps starts a drama fight in the middle of everything, and the NPC walks off and gets himself killed before you notice him.

After you have killed all 4 of the Fang Leaders, talk to him to start the awakening of Naralex. He is located right at the inside of th instance. You have to escort him to Naralex but it's not too difficult. Once he gets there, a few waves of enemies will spawn and a boss, Mutanus the Devourer, at the end. Pretty good loot from the boss. No exp for awakening Naralex, but it's pretty fun.

There should be just three mobwaves before Naralex wakes up: the first consists of a small handful of Vipers (three-ish?), the second of slimes (around six?) and finally the third mob, Mutanus, who comes forth without adds. The waves come with small out of combat pauses in between.

He died while on the escort. How long does it take for him to respawn?

On classic wrath:
- Last boss has bugs, if you let Disciple of Naralex die. You will fail. And have reset whole instance and kill everythink again. It wont respawn.
- If you kill mobs too FAST you will fail (if you soloing it on max lvl or have help). Naralex will be just stuck casting spell animation and nothing happens.
Solutions that worked for me: don't let naralex die and let mobs hit naralex first then kill them. Kill them very slowly and finaly boss Murloc will come then.
