Upcoming Chat with Ghostcrawler
Ghostcrawler awaits your questions...
Edit:
The interview is complete, and I have all the answers I've gathered—but I'm under NDA not to release them until Saturday night at Midnight. Check back then for the interview—as well as a ton of new info on Cataclysm!
So tomorrow, I'm going to have the opportunity for a direct interview with
Ghostcrawler
right at the Blizzard headquarters in Irvine, CA!
I know you guys have questions for him about
Cataclysm
, but I want to make sure that I don't miss any of the big ones—so
please post your questions here!
I obviously can't guarantee I'll use them all, but I should be able to hit all the major ones.
Even someone else has already posted the question, go ahead and post anyway—it'll help me judge which questions are the most important.
So let's hear it! If you could ask Ghostcrawler anything you wanted... what would it be?

ZAM Interview with Richard Knaak
Cody Bye, the Director of Content of ZAM, has just interviewed
Richard Knaak
, one of the most famous writers of novels and short stories for not only World of Warcraft, but a number of other fictional worlds. Knaak's "Blizzard" bibliography includes novels like
Stormrage
(the latest official Warcraft novel on the market), 3 standalone Diablo novels,
The Sin War
series, Warcraft's
War of the Ancients
trilogy, as well as 2 standalone novels other than
Stormrage
. In addition to those, he has an impressive number of Dragonlance, Dragonrealm, Conan, individual novels... not to mention his short fiction pieces and the manga.
Sadly, this interview didn't quench my thirst for lore (could anything?), but it was an interesting read nonetheless. The interview is after the break!

Tom Chilton Interview: Possible Raid Boss Before Cataclysm
Game Informer
published yesterday an interview with Tom Chilton, game director for World of Warcraft, looking back on the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
They talk about how what classes we might have seen instead of Death Knights, graphical improvements, PvP, why Ulduar was chosen and even a brief discussion of the content patch between now and and Cataclysm.
Hint: It just might be a
single-boss encounter in the Ruby Sanctum
, inside Wyrmrest Temple!
For the final question, there’s been some rumors going around and I wanted to clear them up. You guys have wrapped up the main Lich King storyline. Icecrown is out there, which you guys have said is the final major raid for this expansion. But there are some rumors that there might be another content patch of some

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/3p3/riseandfall-interview.xml
The interview talks about a lot of things, such as Arthas' role and how it came about, and how they shaped the expansion around
The Lich King (Icecrown)
.
They also talk about the
Cataclysm
's upcoming world event—which will supposedly be at
least
as big as the zombie invasion, if not even bigger.

Interview With Lead Game Designer Tom "Kalgan" Chilton
Over at
wow.gamona.de
, an official German fansite, they had a chance to have a chat with Tom "Kalgan" Chilton who is the Lead Game Designer for World of Warcraft. They touch on a lot of things including everything from player housing (no it's not in the plans) to Cataclysm and the the future.
There is even mention that there may be a
content patch before Cataclysm
but it won't be like a major content patch and could contain class balance fixes, bug fixes, implementation of new Battle.net features, and maybe even a new raid boss? A new Wyrmrest Temple boss? Who knows.

Jace Hall Blizzard Interview Video
So Blizzard has provided us with a video from their archives!
This is an interview that
Jace Hall
did with the Blizzard staff which originally aired on December 15, 2008—just a month or so after the release of Wrath of the Lich King. He explores the Blizzard offices (which they never let me take pictures of!), talks about the decisions they made for Wrath, and settles an old rivalry.

G4 Interviews Blizzard Team for WoW 5-Year Anniversary Retrospective
World of Warcraft turns five years old on November 23, 2009, and G4 has kicked off the celebration a little early with a series of
retrospective interviews
with some big names at Blizzard.
X-Play host Morgan Webb sat down with Game Director
Tom Chilton
, Lead World Designer
Alex Afrasiabi
and former Game Director
Jeffrey "Tigole" Kaplan
to look back at the history of WoW from day one.
The combined videos total more than 35 minutes in length, so there's a lot to digest in the retrospective. There's nothing particularly noteworthy mentioned in the interviews, but they're certainly worth viewing for fans who are interested in hearing Chilton, Afrasiabi and Kaplan reminisce about WoW's history and explain their duties at Blizzard.
Kaplan's Departure
For those of you who don't know, Kaplan left the WoW team to work on Blizzard's next big MMO project, which he's "super excited about" but couldn't discuss in det

Priest Q&A with Ghostcrawler
It looks like
Illidan Stormrage
was
right—I am not prepared! Who would have guessed Blizzard would release two Q&As in one day? ;)
One of my favorite parts of the interview is that Blizzard's considering removing the "backlash" from
if the target is within "
" range. The other part is that Blizzard wants to make Shadow talents that improve the overall damage of Shadow Priests, so that their damage is not penalized in cases where DoTs are useless. But enough chit-chat—let's get to the interview!

Rogue Q&A with Ghostcrawler
Much like the rogue class itself, Blizzard decided to be pretty sneaky and release the Rogue Q&A as one of the last class Q&As. Maybe they used some rouge to hide it? :D
For the most, I enjoyed reading the interview. I like that Blizzard admitted that a few aspects are in need of a fix, and that they defended a few decisions which negatively affected rogues. My favorite part of the interview was about
Vanish
and its current functionality—but have a look for yourself! You can read the entire interview after the break, or read the original one linked below:

Q&A Crusaders' Coliseum + Isle of Conquest
Looks like the class Q&A were popular enough to make Blizzard create non-class Q&A as well :) I don't know about you, but I feel better seeing that all those questions we ask on the forums are being read, and some of them - even answered. Publicly.
This time it's a combined Q&A about the
Crusaders' Coliseum
(the new 5-, 10-, and 25-man dungeons) and the
Isle of Conquest
(the new Battleground).
I myself didn't find a terrible lot of new information in this Q&A, but it helps to see all those thing put together by somebody from Blizzard. Follow the link to the WoW-Europe forums, or read on to find out what
Ancilorn
has to tell us:

Hunter Q&A with Ghostcrawler
This Q&A was more adventurous than the others. Just as we spotted it, it was pulled off the official forums (and website, if it ever made it there).
MMO-Champion
still had it though, so we used their version - you can find the source over at their
Blue Tracker
. I personally expect changes to be made to the original Q&A (which is what you see here), hence the pulling off. Keep an eye on the thread, we'll try to post the updated version, if there is one, as soon as we can.
Looks like everything is alright with the Q&A now. You can find the source under the quote, after the break (through nine mountains in the tenth, through nine rivers...). The
last question
in the quote was not there before - it's the only new thing.
This time it's Hunter. Remember how I was happy about the Druid one because my next alt would be a druid? Well, the alt I am currently leveling is a
hunter
! So I am naturally excited to see what they have to say about it, and about Marksman in particular. I still haven't r
